I bet you more people today know Charlie Kirk's name than they did before. On top of that, they know that he was an unapologetic, kind, reasonable Christian.
Ultimately, his legacy is exactly the kind Jesus commanded us to have.
I was reading John this morning. Chapter 16, verse 20 speaks wisely to this situation.
"Truly, truly, I tell you, you will weep while the world rejoices."
That was Jesus speaking about his departure, but the principle applies here, too. We all wonder why so many people are relishing in the death of Charlie. Just look at @GeneticallyModifiedSkeptic on X. He immediately called Kirk a bunch of names and used his death to plug a video.
Remember, this kind of rejoicing from the world is par for the course. However, we must take the commandment of Jesus to love the world anyway. Pick up Charlie's mantle; continue the work he wanted to complete. Be bold in your professing of Jesus, and be willing to lay down your life like Jesus did, and like Charlie just did.
I also saw today someone say., "The devil overplayed his hand." Friends, the devil already lost. He was put to open shame by the cross. His death will only be complete at the day of the lord, but he is constantly overplaying his hand.
Now is the time to double-down on Jesus.

Well, everyone knows now Charlie Kirk was just shot and killed in Utah.
Not sure how many people are gonna see this, but remember to pray for his family. This is not a time for wrath. Not a time for war or hatred.
We can rejoice that Christ defeated death and those who put their trust in him will rise again from the dead.
Do not fear those who can kill the body. Christians are called to mourn with those who mourn, and weep with those who weep. We'll do so.

This is not me saying I'm becoming a Shorts channel... but:
It's been tough to find time to edit and record longer videos right now, and I just recorded 17 shorts in about an hour. I'm doing a series of "Did You Know?" shorts about weird things in Islamic sources. Please share them, since shorts are really growing the channel right now.
Still working on the other stuff in the background, but it's just taking way longer than I like.

I've been away from YT more than I'd like to be recently. Someone asked in the comments of a video when part 3 of the Islamic Iceberg will be done. It's taking a while, apologies. There's been a lot going on (in a good way) with my day job and my family, not to mention seminary. Life is good, just busy. YouTube is still a hobby for me.
This channel has recently gotten a bit more exposure among some other apologetics channels (and a lot of that is in the background, so you might not know any of that), so I wonder if it will grow a lot faster this year. Who knows? Lord willing I will be able to keep up with the growth. I am trying to put things out regularly, but I can't make any promises...
In other news, if you are wanting to start an apologetics youtube channel, and you have some knowledge and understanding, maybe this is your call to get going! I started nearly 4 years ago with a tiny little bit of knowledge, but I've done a TON in the background to boost my knowledge and understanding of God's Word. As long as you keep joyfully learning about God and his Word, then YT is a blessing. Hope this inspires someone out there.
