Back in the UK for Xmas and it is BALTIC out there!

Have a very Merry One Everybody and thanks for all the support this year! Next year we'll be finally finishing off the 'worst places' videos early on before some new projects both on and off YouTube!

If you're bored over the festive period and have 70ish minutes to spare, here's a new video just dropped, travelling through Wales (some of you might have noticed it was published yesterday but due to some audio issues I had to pull it and re-upload)

The Absolute Ranker

Made it down to Land's End yesterday and am now finally en route to my native Kent (via a few stops in Somerset and Dorset) and my trip around this sceptered Isle will be over 🇎🇧

Almost six months, over 250 villages, towns and cities, and nearly 7,000 miles travelled on hundreds of buses and trains and nights under canvas or cheap hostels or hotels are coming to a close and boy, am I ready for a rest ðŸŦ

I've learned more about my own country in six months than I had in 30+ years of living here. It's been exhausting, and not something I think I'll be repeating 😆 tons of footage to edit and then it'll be onto some new projects in 2026 🌍🌎🌏 Probably more documentary-style videos from across Europe to start with. If there's anything in particular you'd like to see, and won't wreck me financially, let me know in the comments 👇

Hello Everyone from Sunny Wolverhampton 🌞

Almost five months on the road now and the end is near. Just about thirty places left to visit ðŸ˜Ū‍ðŸ’Ļ

After so many nights in crummy hotels/hostels/under canvas, I'm ready for a rest. Therefore, I'll be pausing the 'Worst Places' series for a few weeks. These videos take a whole day, sometimes more, to edit, and right now, I just want to get to the end of this journey. There's only so many Wetherspoon breakfasts and boarded up Bingo Halls a man can take ðŸ‘ī

However! I will be posting videos each week, just ones that are quicker and easier to edit. Like last night's video, probably the craziest one I've ever posted ðŸĪŠ

Welcome to the Community!

Not sure what the point of this is, but apparently everyone can write in here now as well on the comments section.

Here's a pic of Britain's wonkiest pub (apparently) in Tipton, where I was this morning!

Hello Everyone! Over 4 months on the road now and out of 250 places I've only got about 50 left! ðŸĨģ

The next region I'm heading to is West Midlands (region defined in the map attached). Not a region I know particularly well so suggestions of places to visit are welcome!

On the list so far are; Birmingham, West Bromwich, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Tipton, Dudley, Worcester, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Evesham and Stoke-on-Trent. Meaning I need eight more places!

If you know anywhere let me know! Especially if there's anywhere in Shropshire or Herefordshire!

Bore da folks!

I'll be heading into Wales this weekend to continue the 'Worst Places' tour. I'll be visiting all seven cities in the country as part of a different video, but would like your suggestions on worst places if you have any?

Already nailed onto the list are Rhyl, Neath, Port Talbot and Merthyr Tydfil.

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who's watched, liked and commented on the latest videos!

Life is 100mph at the moment so I don't have time to reply to everyone but I do read all that I get opportunity to!

Just wanted to answer some things that pop up regularly in the comments and let you know what the aim of this 'worst places' videos series is:

- The regions I am using for reference are mostly sticking to the below 'official' regions, although occasionally I will take a liberty and use one place somewhere different, for example Grimsby I used in East Midlands rather than Yorkshire. This is for logistical reasons as well as cultural. Similar with Middlesbrough, although it's 'technically' in Yorkshire, to me it's culturally closer to the North East, so I'll be using it in that series. So, please no more getting your knickers in a twist aboit Mablethorpe not being in the East Midlands 😆

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_England

- The 20 'worst places' are not a definitive list. They're simply a list of places that I have found online that get the most criticism. I'm sure there are small ex-pit towns or villages that are far worse than Scarborough or Barnsley. But I can't visit eveywhere to make the comparison. So, the list is made out of what has come in for criticism online, what places have high crime rates, etc. Generally I won't have a bad word to say about the first two or three places because my mission isn't to go find the worst in every place.

- The idea behind the series is to find out what really is the worst place. By worst I mean dangerous, dirty, unfriendly, polluted, decrepit etc. I'm visiting 250ish places in six months so obviously I will make mistakes, I will catch a place on a bad day, the street cleaner may not have turned up for work, the place may look like a bombsite after a carnival or football match, one rude person or nutcase may taint my experiences, these things happen. But I will always be as fair as I can and look for the good as well as the bad. I will also be frank and transparent, and will call things as I see them.

- I'm visiting the nine regions of England as listed above, as well as Scotland and Wales. Sadly I don't have time or money to do the island of Ireland but that's a potential one/two for the future.

- There are thousands of different articles and videos calling places the 'worst' town/city/place in the country. But as far as I know, nobody's got up and physically gone to look at them all. And if they have, it hasn't been documented.

I think that's all, for now! Again, thanks for all your support!

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope the weather where you are is better than it is here in Mount Florida, Glasgow! ðŸĨķ🌧

In a couple of days' time I'll be moving onto the next part of the trip, North West England!

Every time I post a video I get comments saying 'you should've gone here', 'you missed this place' etc, so I'll ask you now if there's any place I MUST include in the Worst Places in North West England?

Places that are absolutely nailed on are:

Blackpool, Oldham, Rochdale, Burnley, Barrow-in-Furness, Accrington, Birkenhead and the rougher parts of Liverpool and Manchester.

I have ideas for the other places but I'd love to hear yours!

Oh and in the meantime I'll be posting a travel vlog at 7pm GMT today 8th August. It'll be the longest video I've ever posted at 1 hour 10 minutes so get the popcorn in! ðŸŋ
