A Date with Oil Paint

I finished this oil painting, “The Attitude” (14x11").

When I saw the reference photo, I fell in love immediately.
I knew—she’s the one I’ve been looking for.

There was something in her eyes… a kind of uninhibited confidence that jolted me.
It shocked my nerves a little.

But at the same time, she had this quiet elegance. I tried to express that contrast in her clothing and posture.

She’s the kind of woman I admire deeply—but would probably be too afraid to ask to be my friend.


I didn’t record the painting process, but I did film the drawing I made first.
