Coming September 5 — LIVE from the Olcott Vehicle Cruise! 🚗🔥🥳

I’ve been looking forward to this one, and I’m ready for an evening packed with classic cars, muscle cars, custom builds, unique rides, fellow car enthusiasts, and plenty of cruise-night fun! 😎🚘

There’s always something special about seeing so many incredible vehicles together, hearing the engines, checking out all the little details, and just enjoying the atmosphere with people who love cars just as much as you do.

Sadly, this will be the only vehicle cruise I’ll be making it to this year, so I’m definitely planning to soak up every minute of it! 🥹❤️

Olcott, let’s make this one a good one! 🚗💨🔥

When you’re in Buffalo and get hungry… sometimes there’s only one thing to do: go get wings! 🍗🔥😄

A friend and I were spending the day in Buffalo, eventually got hungry, and, well… I think the photos tell you where that decision led us. 😂

We ended up at the original Anchor Bar on Main Street in Buffalo, one of the most famous stops in the entire history of the Buffalo wing. And honestly, even before the food comes out, this place is an experience all by itself. Between the old license plates, motorcycles, memorabilia, statues, vintage phone booth, and just about every inch of wall space having something to look at, you could spend half the visit just wandering around. 😆

And then, of course… the wings arrived. 🍗🤤

Now for a little Buffalo food-history lesson, because the question of who actually invented the Buffalo wing is a lot more interesting than I remembered!

Anchor Bar credits Teressa Bellissimo, who owned the restaurant with her husband Frank, with creating its famous style of wings in the 1960s. The restaurant’s traditional story says that her son Dominic had friends come into the bar hungry one night, so Teressa cooked chicken wings, tossed them in sauce, and served them with celery and blue cheese. That version eventually became the style most people today recognize as a traditional Buffalo wing.

BUT… the jury is definitely still out. 👀

Another major name in Buffalo wing history is John Young, a Black Buffalo restaurateur who operated Wings and Things on Jefferson Avenue during the same era. Young served whole, breaded fried wings covered in his own mumbo sauce, and historians have found evidence that he was selling wings around the same period — possibly even before Anchor Bar’s famous version. His style was different from the split, hot-sauce-covered wings we now usually call “Buffalo wings,” but his contribution to Buffalo’s wing history is absolutely part of the story.

And Young’s story didn’t end there. He eventually moved his family from Buffalo to Decatur, Illinois, during a period of racial unrest. When he returned to Buffalo years later, he found Anchor Bar receiving most of the credit for the city’s famous wings — something he strongly disputed. Young maintained that Frank Bellissimo had eaten at his restaurant before Anchor Bar began serving its own version of wings, adding yet another fascinating layer to a story Buffalo food historians are still debating today.

So was Anchor Bar the inventor? Was John Young there first? Did several Buffalo food traditions eventually collide into what we know today?

Buffalo can keep arguing about that one. 😂🍗

What I can say is that getting wings at the original Anchor Bar, surrounded by all that Buffalo history and wonderfully over-the-top décor, was a pretty fun way to spend part of the day. 😁❤️

And yes… judging by those plates, we definitely left fed. 😂

Had such a fun time seeing The Golden Girls “live” and “in person” at Batavia Downs! 😂💛
This wasn’t just a regular show either — it was a fun, interactive murder mystery, with plenty of laughs, audience participation, and Golden Girls-style chaos along the way! 🔎🤣
The cast looked like they were having just as much fun as everyone in the audience, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a great time had by all! ☺️🎭
Such a fun and different night out at Batavia Downs! 💕

The Herschell Carrousel Museum in North Tonawanda is such a cute little place and definitely worth your time if you’re in the area! 🎠

It may be a small museum, but the history inside is anything but small. From vintage carousel animals and ride pieces to the story of Allan Herschell and the company behind them, there’s a surprising amount to see and learn.

A fun little Western New York stop that I’m glad I checked out! ☺️

Dinner and neighbor hangout tonight! ☺️ I made bacon cheeseburger quesadillas, and I put nine—yes, NINE—different cheeses on mine. 🧀🤯 Completely reasonable behavior, obviously. 😂

Regardless of the cheese avalanche, they turned out absolutely awesome—crispy on the outside, loaded on the inside, and definitely not lacking flavor! 😁

What are you having to eat today? 🤔🍽️

Supporting a local small business while enjoying a seriously lovely meal at Olympia! ☺️🥪🍟
I went with the roast beef wrap, and it absolutely delivered. Roast beef is such a staple here in Western New York, and this wrap was packed with it—along with plenty of melty cheese and fresh toppings. Add a generous pile of fries, and this was one satisfying meal!
Great food, friendly local businesses, and another reminder that supporting small businesses can be very delicious. 😁

Look at all these potential coffee combinations waiting to happen! ☕🥳
This box is packed with possibilities—dark roast, breakfast blend, vanilla, hazelnut, honey almond, chocolatey flavors, and plenty more just begging to be mixed with syrups, extracts, creamers, and whatever other chaos I can find. 😁
Some of these combinations may be amazing. Some may be questionable. A few may possibly qualify as another diabetes in a cup. 🤭
So now I’m curious: What coffee combination would you like to see me try next? Pick a pod, suggest a creamer or syrup, and let’s see what kind of delicious—or disastrous—creation we can make! ☕🧪

This is one awesome treat from Tim Hortons—the Chocolate Raspberry Croissant! 🥐🍫❤️

It’s flaky, gooey, incredibly filling, and packed with chocolate and raspberry goodness.

Ohhh, it is so good! 😋 At this rate, my completely unnecessary goal of diabetes is progressing beautifully. 🤭

Definitely worth trying if you spot one!

The only difference or things I'd add is a grape, cherry, strawberry version! 🤯

Bonfire is a go! 🔥😁
Nothing like ending the day with a good fire, plenty of crackling branches, and a little smoke drifting through the evening air.
The brush pile is officially losing the battle! 😂
