As we close out the week, I’ve been thinking about how many people are still carrying heaviness after the holiday. Some are grieving, some spent the day alone, and some are doing their best to move through life while holding quiet pain.

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things we’ll ever do, but it has real impact. Studies show that unforgiveness increases stress, affects the immune system, and raises anxiety levels. It weighs on the body, the mind, and the spirit.

We forgive not because it was easy and not because the hurt was small, but because forgiveness frees us to live again.

May we release what has been holding us, so we can walk into what God has for us.
