What was once Raskull's Basement Arcade is now Raskull's Gaming & Guitar Gear. There is still plenty of retro arcade games, virtual pinball, PC/console games, and virtual reality. But I'm adding a refreshing splash of Guitar Gear talk. The highlight of my week is 9pm ET on Tuesdays when Shotgun Sean and I host our weekly livestream called "That Gaming Show".
Could I twist your arm to help the channel? I'm on the long, tough road to my first 1,000 subscribers. It would make my day if you subscribed to the channel to help me reach that goal. And when we hit 1000 subs, there will be a live show with a huge giveaway that has grown to over a thousand dollars of prizes. I hope to see all of you on that show.

Here is the update on my recent hearing loss that you've been waiting for!
This morning I went in for a hearing test and follow-up with the ENT. The hearing test was on par with a routine hearing test I had done in 2019. That's 100% recovery (or better)!
The nurse that performed the test said that she hasn't seen anything like it in her 28 years of doing hearing tests.
The doctor, after congratulating me on my recovery, took my chart and shared it with anybody he could find. I'm not sure who was happier with the results, me or the doctor.
THANK YOU to God for answering our prayers and to all of you that had me in your thoughts and prayers. This is as much your win as it is mine. YOU helped make this happen, I just know it.
You all have my thanks, respect, and love, always.

Here's an update on my hearing loss scare:
Over the course of 2 weeks of steroid treatments, I have most, or possibly all, of my hearing back in my right ear. It started coming back little by little until now it feels/sounds pretty normal. The MRI from last week didn't show any abnormalities and a self-administered hearing test using my iPhone w/ AirPod Pros gave promising results.
So, in 1 week, I have a follow-up hearing test and consultation with my ENT. One thing that is unknown is what will happen to my hearing now that I am done taking steroids. I guess we will find out.
I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and checking in on me. I was so scared when the doctor told me only 25% of people with sudden hearing loss get their hearing back. I told you all that I was going with "the glass is 25% full, not 75% empty" and so far, it looks like "we've done the impossible, and that makes us mighty" (for some reason I felt like quoting Capt. Malcom Reynolds here). Friends, family, and answered prayers were/are my sword and my shield. I consider myself blessed. Thank you again.

This year, for my birthday, I would like people to make donations to a GoFundMe that is dear to my heart.
A friend of mine, Steve Sale, is having surgery the day after my birthday to give him back his smile, which has been stolen by cancer and cancer treatments. The surgery isn’t cheap. If you are financially blessed, please help me help my friend. Steve is the kind of person that would give the shirt off of his back to help a stranger. Let’s show him how many of us would do the same.
I will also be participating in a “Streamathon” in the next 10 days to help raise money for Steve. Stay tuned for the details to be part of the world-wide outpouring of love and support for this wonderful individual.
Note: The GoFundMe goal of $8,000 USD has not been updated to reflect the actual cost of the surgery. I am working to get it updated soon.
