Sara Gammons | Living Kidney Donor
Welcome to my YouTube Channel, where you will learn what “Kidney Storm” really means!
On September 19th, 2023, I donated a kidney to my husband Jeff. So, if you are considering becoming a living organ donor, or have already accepted the challenge, we have something in common!
During the donation process, I learned the hard way how few resources there are for us.
I’ve spent the last several years dedicated to learning and researching as much as I can about what kidney disease does to your body and the multi-faceted discomforts it will bring to your everyday life. If you can be a donor for a loved one, or an altruistic donor to help a stranger, I would love for you to join me as I continue to learn, educate from my personal experience, and advocate for this gift of life!
KidneyStorm
Hi friends; it’s been a long week. I wanted to have my next video up by now for my future Living Donors, but of all the things, my husband’s at-home IVIG treatment took a turn for the worse. I was up a portion of the night with him and even out of the house at 4am to go grab stuff he needed. Thankfully he is feeling better as the day has progressed.
All this to say, the editing is in progress but my brain needs a break. Will get it together for y’all soon tho, so we can get started on what’s next! Can’t wait to share!
Happy Easter weekend.

KidneyStorm
Happy April! As we embrace this new season of 2025, I would like to begin sharing my journey as a living kidney donor with you.
My husband is my recipient, and we are celebrating 18 months since our surgery. During the preparations, I realized how few resources there are for living organ donors, and I want to share my experience first-hand with you.
If you’re already in the process of being tested, or you’re considering this life-changing decision, I hope to bring you some comfort in the form of information and answered questions. See you soon!
