I’m closing out this month of 2025 with a mashup of Mad World (originally by Gary Jules), Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Holiday (originally by Green Day), and Animals (originally by Martin Garrix).

This mashup was something I wanted to experiment with, as all these songs share the same musical key and move from a darker emotional space to a more energetic release.

In this video, I will be presenting you with two Romantic-era piano pieces — “Pastorale” and “Arabesque” by Johann Friedrich Franz Burgmüller. 🎼✨

🎓 Fun fact: I first began working on these pieces right after completing my Bachelor’s degree in Music two years ago. I even posted snippets of my progress on Instagram as I transitioned into a new chapter — becoming a piano faculty member!

Now, I’m revisiting these compositions with a fresh perspective, and I hope it inspires fellow piano learners and educators alike. If you're a piano student or teacher, you’ll likely feel a deep connection to these pieces if you've studied or taught them before.

In this video, I will be presenting you a piece called "Minuet In G Major, BWV Anh 114" which was originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. This is a classical piano cover and a solo performance of the famous Bach Minuet.

Fun fact, Minuet means dance in a triple time.

Today marks 8 years since we lost Chester Bennington. In his memory, I wanted to share a song that I’ve been listening to and performing — “New Divide” by Linkin Park.

I first played this piece on the violin two years ago, but since piano is my main instrument, I revisited it and performed it again — this time on the piano. 🎹✨

Fun fact: “New Divide” was also featured in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen — such an iconic soundtrack!

I’ve included the lyrics so you can sing along, and there’s a melody line too, in case you'd like to use it as a piano accompaniment. 🎼🎤
