A 582 for 582k subs! The 582ci displacement can be achieved a couple ways, but I prefer the big-bore, short-stroke version at 4.600x4.375. I have a Chevy version that made 1,000 hp NA on Engine Masters, and it has been revised with lower compression to make 970 hp NA and 1200 on a small nitrous shot with a single four barrel. Wanna buy a slightly used slice of Roadkill history? Hot Rod is selling the ‘15 Challenger Hellcat from the infamous Dodge episode, and we also used it on One Lap of America. A Chevy 572 for 572k subs! This particular big-block Chevy started life as a GM crate engine, but I have revised it several times. It has taken me to my fastest speed at Bonneville (261.602 mph) and to my quickest quarter mile time (8.501).
