Doing some homework for a #denisvilleneuve power ranking 😉❤️🎬

Polytechnique is a 2009 Canadian drama film directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Villeneuve and Jacques Davidts. Starring Maxim Gaudette, Sebastien Huberdeau, and Karine Vanasse, the film is based on the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre (also known as the "Montreal Massacre") and re-enacts the events of the incident through the eyes of two students (Huberdeau and Vanasse) who witness a gunman (Gaudette) murder fourteen young women.

Just found out we lost Matthew Perry on 10/28/23. Chandler Bing was a huge part of my childhood. He made me feel like I wasn't alone in the universe, and maybe my weirdness wasn't so wierd. RIP Mr. Perry. ❤️🎬

"Always Be Closing"

Hey everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts and updates regarding the channel. Over the past few months, I've been on a journey of self-discovery, evaluating where my passion truly lies and how I can best contribute to our community and the wider world.

I started this channel with the aim of delving into complex topics and sparking meaningful discussions. While I've immensely enjoyed the conversations and the connections made, I've come to realize that there are other avenues that also deeply resonate with me, such as building my hedge fund, launching a line of products, and publishing the first of what I hope is many novels.

These paths offer a different kind of creative fulfillment and personal impact for me. Mainly, they allow me to put more resources towards getting custody of my daughter (and bestie) whom I have not been able to see for over 2 years (finally have proof her mother faked evidence about me (perjury) for the Montgomery County DA).

That being said, I have decided to shift my focus for the time being to those ventures that align with my passions and have the best ROI (time & money). This doesn't mean the end of the channel, but rather a slow-down. The podcast will be on a hiatus, and video uploads will be less frequent. I will still share content that I find inspiring or thought-provoking, but at a pace that allows me to give these other projects and passions the attention they deserve.

I am immensely grateful for the support, engagement, and the community we've built here. I never would have thought the channel would have almost 1,000 subscribers in the first 4 months! I hope you all continue to explore, learn, and engage with the world around you, and I look forward to sharing my journey and hearing about yours as we move forward.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and for being a part of this journey with me. Stay curious, stay inspired, and keep striving for knowledge and growth. Above all else, be useful.

Warmest regards,

Remembering Jimmy Buffett: A Kappa Sigma Legend

I heard today that we lost Mr. Buffett back in September. It's with a heavy heart and a stroll down memory lane that I'd like to bid farewell to the legend, a cherished, fellow member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. His music, especially "Margaritaville," was more than just a song to the brothers of the Lambda-Phi chapter (SHSU); they were more like the anthems of our camaraderie.

I reminisce about the nights when the chords would boom through our fraternity house, or whatever house we decided to occupy for the night,. It created a chorus of voices that transcended the chaos of a typical college party. Whether we were 5, 10, or 20 strong, the tradition was unmissable.

Every brother in the house, arm in arm, would sway and sing along to the euphonic sounds of "Margaritaville." Though I hate to imagine how we looked to a sober eye, to us, it was a thing of beauty. A spontaneous eruption of brotherhood and love.

Today, as I mourn the passing of Jimmy Buffett, I'm not just honoring a phenomenal musician; I'm celebrating a legacy that played as a backdrop to some of the best experiences of my life.

His music, a token of my college memories, encapsulates the essence of those carefree days (that I long for).

Rest In Peace, Jimmy Buffett. Your music etches on, immortal in the heartbeats of Kappa Sigma and beyond.

Remembering John Douglas Clark: A Tribute & Blue Thunder (1983) Film Review

Hello everyone,

Today is a special day for me as I remember my father, Johnny Douglas Clark, who was born on October 13, 1949, and passed away on April 4, 2022.

My father's life was a testament to dedication, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. He served in the United States Army for 20 years, stationed in places like Fort Polk, LA, Berlin, Germany, and Korea. He earned several commendations during his service, including the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Senior Army Aviator Badge, among others.

One of the fondest memories I have of my father is our shared love of film. One of his favorites that we watched more times than I can remember was "Blue Thunder," starring Roy Scheider. This film resonated deeply with him, for a multitude of reasons, many of which I didn't understand as a child. This week, I'll be reviewing it for the channel as a tribute to him. The film's themes of mental health (PTSD), aviation, camaraderie, and the challenges faced by pilots mirror many of the experiences my father shared with me about his time in the military.

So I invite you all to join me in commemorating my father's legacy. I'm grateful that I have this channel so that I can celebrate the life of a remarkable man who was, and still is bigger than life to me by talking about the film that meant so much to him.

Thank you for being a part of this community and for allowing me to share this personal journey with you.

Warm regards,

Tyler
