New technologies are often unfamiliar when they first enter the world of art. In fact, in the early 1980s, when MIDI was first introduced during a time when music was made primarily through live instrument performance, it was met with some skepticism. Today, however, MIDI has become a fundamental tool in music creation. AI is similar — it is not meant to replace human musicians, but rather to help creators express their ideas in new and innovative ways.
