Those of you in the USA who are old enough...does anybody else remember in the early 2000s stores like Walmart, Target, and of course Toys R Us being absolutely stocked full of military themed toys? Like entire aisles dedicated to GI Joes, Army Men, and other similar things?
I can't be the only one who remembers this.
Also video will likely be out next weekend (gaming related).

Just an old thing I've had lying around. I WISH this was 'the next Halo'. Say what you will but I absolutely LOVED Halo Wars 1. Wish we could have gotten what we saw in the original demo but it was still a super cool game!
So many games in this magazine turned out to be some of the greatest of all time. Fallout 3, GTA 4, Halo Wars, Spore, and then some. The late 2000s really was a heck of a time for gaming.

What are your thoughts regarding Microsoft accounts being required for Halo Campaign Evolved, a single-player game regardless of platform?
I've always thought this to be absurd. Microsoft has extremely anti consumer-forms of DRM in all their games (remember Minecraft's forced account migration?) and this really is about control above all else. In my view, there is ZERO reason for a single player game to REQUIRE an online account to play.
I miss the days of local/no sign in on the Xbox 360 and prior. This is one of the many reasons I wont be buying this game.
