Just an old thing I've had lying around. I WISH this was 'the next Halo'. Say what you will but I absolutely LOVED Halo Wars 1. Wish we could have gotten what we saw in the original demo but it was still a super cool game!

So many games in this magazine turned out to be some of the greatest of all time. Fallout 3, GTA 4, Halo Wars, Spore, and then some. The late 2000s really was a heck of a time for gaming.

What are your thoughts regarding Microsoft accounts being required for Halo Campaign Evolved, a single-player game regardless of platform?

I've always thought this to be absurd. Microsoft has extremely anti consumer-forms of DRM in all their games (remember Minecraft's forced account migration?) and this really is about control above all else. In my view, there is ZERO reason for a single player game to REQUIRE an online account to play.

I miss the days of local/no sign in on the Xbox 360 and prior. This is one of the many reasons I wont be buying this game.

So a new Campaign Evolved trailer just dropped. Will you be buying it?

My take: While it certainly doesn't look like the worst thing ever, it looks incredibly lazy and suffers from many of the same problems CEA did. Loads of reused assets even reused animations (look at the way the brutes run) and just many weird visual choices.

Also Cortana looks awful and Steve Harvey...I mean Johnson sounds nothing like Johnson.

All these years of waiting and all 343 can give us is a nostalgia bait cash grab. Sad. I wont be buying this.

Why does Cortana look like...that? And why does Johnson look like a knockoff Steve Harvey?

Why does almost everything about this game reek of AI slop and recycled assets? Needless to say I wont be buying it and neither should anybody else.

Just shut Halo down at this point. Please.
