I stopped sharing leads to avoid any strikes or issues with YouTube. As my older channel was unfairly targeted and terminated for sharing job leads smh. So this is why I had to change things up here.

What happened to Melecia At Home?

Melecia At Home was one of many in the remote work niche to have been targeted by YouTube and unfortunately was terminated. Many ask what happened and why. I honestly don’t know. I can only theorize. But I remember predicting something like this may happen in due time. I felt that as the niche continued to grow with similar channels/videos YouTube would begin a sort of purge. I heard rumors that YouTube no longer want repetitive content. This means if there are too many channels doing the same content (similar ways and style) They will strategize in removing channels starting with flagging or striking videos without clear reason. That will result in permanent termination.

I unfortunately could not hold on to my Melecia At Home channel. 13 yrs of hard work gone just like that! Did I fight? Yes I sent appeals after appeals all denied by YouTube. Had few of you write to YouTube in my favor but honestly they won’t listen to YouTubers under 500k subs. Because one video post about the issue with a channel with millions subbed and YouTube know they will have a problem! Press releases is what gets their attention and numbers do matter! Unfortunately I don’t have the numbers to back me or Donald Trump money to sue YouTube! (he recently did this by the way)

Now am I hurt and distraught of course! I built that channel with a lot of heart and passion from day one! It was my baby and I was proud of its growth. But in the last yr I felt a cloud looming over it. And I noticed I began losing a little passion for it. And so I ran a poll to see what my subscribers thought of me changing up and entering a new niche. Many said to start a new channel and keep Melecia At Home. I honestly wasn’t fully prepared to have my entire channel deleted! The devastation. All 300k subs gone! And a source of income for myself and my daughter. Not to mention those who count on new job leads I posted daily!

But I am one who don’t stay down for too long. I been through worst situations and I am not allowing this discourage me.

Thanks for the love and support! I am not sure where this channel will take me but unfortunately I can’t get too attached to this platform it’s not stable and very unpredictable! But I will keep posting videos any how.
