In my opinion, this still holds up to this day in my opinion it’s both based off political power and how strong each rank is if you want to believe otherwise I’m not going to crucify you, but let me explain my reasoning why I think this still hold up and try to explain every rank


Lucifer: not much explanation needed you could still argue. He still loses to some overlords since he has his restrictions to harm any sinners and also it’s been confirmed by the creator and partially by the show that he cannot be killed with angelic weapons he could be restraint, but not killed the only way to kill him would be by an angel of higher rank according to the creator

Charlie & Lilith: politically they both rank above everybody except Lucifer, but in terms of how strong they are, it’s a little bit different in my opinion Charlie is around overlord level currently, but if she was just her full potential, she will be stronger than every body in hell except her parents for Lilith she was stated to empower demon kind unfortunately she does not have many feat and very vague statements she was stated to be equal to Adam so she could be at least as strong as him, but in my opinion, she’s stronger than Adam since she is only behind Lucifer and Lucifer destroyed Adam so my opinion, Lucifer and Lilith not that far apart in terms of how strong they are and it would make sense but you could still argue that she is still around Adam level MINIMUM and I won’t argue with you on that and probably Charlie herself cannot be killed with angelic weapons just like her father, but at the same time she could also still be vulnerable to them since it’s unsure if Lilith can be killed with angelic weapons since Adam was able to be killed by them so that part is pure speculation, and there is a lot of arguments for that

The 7 deadly sins: now these guys are the most slandered in the Wis community there’s people out here saying that Blitz >>> Satan and that is absolute bullshit. In my opinion not even a single overlord can whoop touch these guys feats wise yes, but besides them being ranked two Tiers above the overlords it would make sense for them to be a lot stronger than them since overlords are sinners and logically would make sense, even though it wasn’t stated that the more sins a sinner commit (on earth or hell) makes the SIN themselves more powerful if that makes any sense and I think they’re not that far off from Lucifer’s power since Lucifer is also a 7 deadly sin technically and so in my opinion, the sins could potentially be infinitely powerful in a way and they have been narratively implied to create their own species like for an example Satan created imps and Asmodeus created the succubus demons and no other types of demons beyond this point can create literal species and also most likely they cannot be killed with angelic weapons just like Lucifer and there is nothing shown that proves otherwise

The Ars Goetia: these demons were born with all their powers and were given duties and handed artifacts that are stated to be infinitely powerful by Stolas you could argue he was exaggerating since he was in the middle of a crisis when his book got lost, but that was the same Goetia prince who was stated to be in charge of watching over the cosmos and partially survived a supernova but that book is not necessarily used for combat since like I said Goetia are born with their powers and are still extremely powerful Stolas was able to casually destroy buildings, and even without the book was able to open portals and was able to fly through space and are shown to not feel any pain except angelic weapons and Stolas was stated to be at least on par in terms of who stronger between him or Alastor the strongest overlord now it was confirmed Stolas is stronger, but Viv said I don’t know afterwards hinting that it’s a very close battle and Stolas is only a prince and the Ars Goetia actually has its own hierarchy within the hierarchy at the top, we have the Kings like Paimon and Asmodeus technically, Dukes (we have not seen any yet, but it will logically make sense that they exist but who knows if they do) Princes like Stolas and Vassago and at the bottom so far are Marquises like Andrealphus (I don’t know if Counts, presidents, or Knights exist but Marquises is the lowest rank that we know so far)
And my theory is that they get stronger as they age but nobody knows for sure if that’s accurate. So if Alastor struggles to fight a prince then he sure as hell going to be cooked by a King

The Overlords: they were once normal sinners who rose to power by soul dealing all the overlords that we have seen are extremely skilled fighters and have immense power that they’ve gained from whatever industry they are in charge of as well for an example Carmilla Carmine is in charge of weapons dealing or Velvette being in charge of social media and fashion they usually are in charge of things that people in hell naturally need or use for entertainment so that’s probably also a reason why they’re so powerful since they could also be mass manipulating like how Vox does into owning their souls I really don’t know what else to say but the overlords are actually one of my favorites yeah that’s that. We don’t know if they have a limit of how powerful they can get and if they can take down a powerful goetia but most likely not but probably some strong stronger ones can take down some weaker goetias in my opinion

The Sinners: once humans on earth, but ended up in hell. Sinners arrive in hell with some magical capabilities based on how they died and they cannot be killed at all with normal weapons only angelic hence why the extermination takes place every year by heaven other than that, they’re pretty normal they still have the potential to become overlords since they have some sort of demon magic to work with

The Hellborn: the name itself is self-explanatory. These demons were born in hell but unlike the other demons, they have zero magical capabilities And unfortunately, they are vulnerable to any type of weapon and be killed by anything technically

The Imps and Hellhounds: now these demons aren’t necessarily weaker than the other Hellborn demons but they are treated as slaves and as in inferior race by most of hell there could be some arguments that an average Succubus >>> an average Imp since they can partially fly, but for now I’d say they’re about the same in terms of how strong they are, but on a political standpoint, they are the lowest of the low


Side note: Female goetia (besides Octavia for now) have zero powers most likely so they are Sinner level and also not every Sinner is stronger than every Hellborn demon there can be some instances where they can overpower them if they are skilled enough or if they just have angelic weapons there could be slight overlap between ranks also not every Goetia is strong stronger than every Overlord kind of like in my opinion Alastor >>> Andrealphus but on average most are in my opinion again if you don’t want to believe my reasoning, I won’t crucify you, but this is if you want to believe the hierarchy and is some more reasoning for it bye-bye now
