Happy to announce that I am the new Global Youth Champion for the UN-hosted Sanitation and Water for All global partnership (SWA).

Water and sanitation is a critical issue as we see that some parts of the world are fighting for clean and safe water while other parts are fighting for any kind of water due to the scarcity of this fundamental resource.

As a young environmentalist, from a community where access to water and toilets is one of the biggest challenge, I take this opportunity with gratitude and also deep thoughts on how I can use the platform that SWA is providing me to contribute my voice and the voices of other young people to the water and sanitation solutions.

Being the new youth champion of SWA is not just about me, it’s about the people, the new generation I represent, it’s about the people I inspire , it’s about the most affected and vulnerable, it’s about our future, it’s about restoring the social justice through access to water and sanitation.

Happy 22nd 🎂 🎉 🥳 birthday to me. 21 wasn’t easy at all. It came with challenges, tears,pain, difficulties and everyday bullying but I appreciate all the positives. From mentors, mentees, achievements, networks, lessons, teamwork , love and happiness etc.

One thing I have learnt all this years is that you are in charge of your happiness, you are the one to wake up and make it happen and it’s how you react to tough situations that define you.

Lastly, don’t pay attention to the noise. It’s always people who don’t know you or have never met you or are bitter about their own lives that wake up and instead of working on themselves, they give negative opinions about you. Go forth and make the world your oyster because greatness awaits you.

Merry Christmas to you mines from the office and family of the second in command.
