Welcome to Like A Hero — a hobbyist 3D printing channel focused on real-world FDM printing, tabletop miniatures, and the fun (and occasional fails) of learning the craft.
I’m a guy who turned his garage and then, office into a miniatures workshop. This channel documents the entire journey: dialing in printers, testing filaments, fixing common problems, printing custom miniatures and tabletop gaming, and sharing the little wins and lessons along the way.
Whether you’re new to FDM, deep into minis, or just love the problem-solving side of the hobby, you’re in the right place.
I read every comment and reply to as many as I can. Drop your questions, your fails, or your favorite prints — let’s build this community together.

Hey everyone! 🐺 (IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT)
I wanted to make a quick announcement regarding how we talk about models on the channel moving forward.
As the community here continues to grow, our videos are getting a lot more eyes on them which is awesome! But with that growth comes responsibility. A few sharp viewers in the comments recently pointed out how easy it is to trace specific, branded third-party line names straight back to the original digital sculptors.
In the current hobby climate, large companies use automated bots to track those exact terms down to issue copyright and DMCA strikes. The absolute last thing I want to do is accidentally cause an independent artist to lose their storefront, their vault, or their livelihood because one of my videos blew up.
Because of that, I’m practicing some new naming hygiene. In all future videos and descriptions, I will no longer be using specific creator line titles. Instead, I’ll be sticking to generic, lore-accurate terms like Space Wolf proxy, Terminator proxy, Blood Angel proxy, or World Eater proxy.
The only exception to this rule will be if a creator or sponsor explicitly reaches out to me and gives the green light to use their specific branding.
That being said if you are a digital creator or sculptor yourself and you want to partner up for a video, I would absolutely love to be a part of that and help showcase your work where I can! My business email is easy to find right in the channel description, so feel free to hit me up directly.
I’m doing this for the pure love of the hobby, and protecting the independent creators who make this community great is my top priority. I know you guys get it, and I appreciate your support as we make this adjustment to keep the studio and our favorite artists safe!
Back to the print bed got a really cool character video coming your way soon. Keep printing! 🛠️

Seeing my first few minis printed on this channel and seeing my last few videos is pretty cool. My minis last year were waaaaay different, Im sorry I tossed them out. Should've kept them to see the personal growth! Never throw away your firsts!

Feral Space Viking Wulfen Proxy video dropping tomorrow 5/31 8am PST. Going into a more thorough settings on this one so hopefully everyone enjoys it. I know those were the biggest questions in the last one. The army is coming along.
I am enjoying the hobby and I’m glad I decided to start recording my hobby journey here on YouTube. Thanks everyone
Would a discord for the channel be something people would be interested in?

I am having such a great time assembling these and listening to “Battle of the Fang” I might have a huge audible problem. These damn books aren’t cheap.
Even though I didn’t mirror the objects for variation I was still able to glue the parts slightly different to create some dramatic poses. I’ll show them all in detail in Sunday’s video! Subscribe so you don’t miss it!

Super excited to show you all a follow up to my last proxy video. I dialed in every possible setting and ran every calibration on my k1se budget printer then filled the plate with a 10 man space viking brick squad. My longest print job to date and a perfect print! #fdmprinting #3dprinting #warhammer40k

I just spent my Sunday morning organizing my MMF downloads. No more buying files until I print at least half of these files. I just found out about the amazing greytide studios. The Primal hounds pack is soooo siiiick! Only thing is i didn't realize it didn't come with torsos or legs so now I have to hunt down some neutral parts.
I need to get a discord for all of us to chat and discuss 3d printing!
Also new video is out today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byg1H...
