Australia is more than kangaroos, Bondi Beach and the Sydney Opera House.
Welcome to Beyond Kangaroos, where we explore the Australia most people never get to see.
From Aboriginal history and Dutch explorers to wildlife, geography, infrastructure, culture, sport, television and everyday life, every video is an opportunity to discover something new.
I'm not here to tell Australians about their own country. I'm here to learn alongside you, asking questions, reacting with genuine curiosity, and uncovering the stories behind the headlines and the stereotypes.
Whether you're from Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, Canada, or simply fascinated by Australia, you're welcome here.
Join me as we discover the Australia beyond the clichés.

Beyond Kangaroos
1,000 subscribers. 🇦🇺🎉
We didn't quite make it during the livestream last week — but a few days and a couple of videos later, here we are. Somehow it took less than 80 videos to get here, and honestly, that says more about this community than it does about me.
To everyone who's corrected my pronunciation, shared their own stories, suggested videos, showed up to the livestream (even with the tech hiccups 😅), and just kept coming back — thank you. This channel only works because you keep teaching me things about your own country that I'd never have found on my own.
Here's to the next 1,000. Beyond Kangaroos isn't slowing down.

We're SO close to 1,000 subscribers 🇦🇺🎉
I'm going live this Sunday at 7:00 PM AEST (11:00 AM in the Netherlands, for my fellow Dutchies 😄) to try and hit the milestone together — live.
If you've been enjoying the videos but haven't hit subscribe yet... this is your moment. You could genuinely be the one who pushes us over 1,000.
See you Sunday! Link to the stream will be pinned closer to the day.
