Kept In Stitches -Welcome to my Stitching Cottage where I share "Stitching from the Heart" I share all forms of quilting and stitching From my Heart, so others not only see it, but feel it and experience it. My goal is to inspire others to find the Joy & Peace that Quilting, and especially Stitching can bring to their hearts and life. Help others discover the therapeutic advantage and calmness that "feeling your hands, needle, thread and fabrics join together as one can bring. It is a wonderous Symphony all in it's own. One that, once discovered, you will want to play over and over again. Thank you for joining me on this journey as I lead you through this Symphony of "Stitching from the Heart" quote... The Meaning of Life is to find your gift...The purpose of Life is to share it!

Kept In Stitches

Reality has set in and the time has come for me to announce that I will no longer actively be creating content for my channel anymore. Due to the ongoing family personal health situations my time and schedule just does not allow for me to continue in this capacity. Thank you to all of you that have faithfully followed me these past three years. I truly do appreciate each and every one of you and will miss you. I will remain active in my Kept In Stitches and Friends private FaceBook Group however, with sharing of projects, stitch alongs and private group ZOOM stitch & chats, etc. So, if you wish to still follow me there and are not a member, you can request to join at this link --- www.facebook.com/groups/keptinstitchesandfriends

Kept In Stitches

Introducing the newest member to my Stitching Cottage
Every time I sit down to create, I feel a deep connection to the women who came before me. They say that when we sew, we weave the past into the present. That couldn't be more true for me as I introduce the newest member of my Stitching Cottage: my new Janome Horizon 9410QC, "Bonomi Joy"
This name is a meaningful blend of two extraordinary women who shaped my life: my mom, "Bonnie", and my grandmother, "Naomi". I miss them both so very much, but bringing their names together like this feels like keeping a piece of them right here beside me. I get to keep their memory alive with every single project. I added "Joy" to her name because I know they are smiling down from heaven watching me with joy in their hearts, filled with pride and happiness. They are watching the love of stitching they so lovingly passed down to me blossom into lifelong passion. "Bonomi Joy" isn't just a sewing machine; she is a beautiful reminder of the joy they gave me, and the endless joy they continue to bring to my life I feel in every stitch as they are still watching over me.

Kept In Stitches

Sad to have to make this post, however things happen in life that leave us to have to make hard decisions. Due to personal ongoing health issues affecting our household I will be taking an undetermined length of Leave of Absence from creating content. I so appreciate each and every one of you and will hope to see you once again when I am able to return sharing my love and joy of stitching with you. Until then...Happy Stitching everyone._ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ !

Hey everyone---Sorry but I wasn't thinking when I scheduled the Quilt Along for Wandering Wife by Jen Kingwell. I forgot that my main sewing machine is broke down and waiting to be taken in for serviceing and to be fixed (hopefully). Since this pattern is a tad of a challenge, I really don't want to use my small limited features back up sewing machine. Therefore, I will be postponing this Quilt Along until I either have my main sewing machine back (which will take at least a month) or have replaced it with a new one. Thank you for your understanding. Our hand stitching Sashiko on Shirt Stitch Along will begin as planned starting next Wednesday the 8th of April at 5pm EST. You will be able to find a pdf with listing of supplies needed to begin this project in my Private FB Group Kept In Stitches and Friends. www.facebook.com/groups/keptinstitchesandfriends

Kept In Stitches

Good evening, I'm sure you have noticed that I have been pretty quiet the past several weeks. I apologize. The past few months have personally been very hard and challenging. I believe that matters are not going to improve and many adjustments will need to be made.
These decisions do not come easily and have involved much thought and sadness. I love quilting and stitching; sharing that joy with others hoping to enrich their lives also through teaching and bringing the benefits and therapeutic joy of quilting & stitching to many.
Unfortunately, I will be stepping back and taking a break for an unknown period of time. It is important that I take this time to focus on our personal family needs. When I am able, I hope to return to you, my Kept In Stitches Friends & the joys of sharing quilting & stitching once again.
Watch for LIVES or videos on my YouTube channel randomly when I happen to get the opportunity. Nothing will be on a schedule but I will try to keep in touch and share "What's Stitching in the Cottage" when I am able.
Thank you all for your awesome support. I truly appreciate each and every one of you! Blessings and Happy Stitching. P.S. Ms. Tilly says "Hello" (Photo curtesy of Pinterest)

Some of you may not be aware that my husband was in the ER this weekend and admitted to the hospital unable to walk. He is home now awaiting surgery. My time is dedicated to his care and needs solely at this time and thus will not be as active on my channel. Those of you awaiting the final Part #10 of our Embroidery Slow Stitching Journal and how to put the pages together and finish the journal spine, I will be recording the video as soon as I can and hopefully sometime this week yet. Watch your notifications for when it is scheduled. Thank you for all the prayers and wishes at this time as they are much appreciated. Also thank you for you understanding in delay of content. Happy Stitching Everyone!

Sorry, there will not be a "What's Stitching in the Cottage" Week In Review or Mail Haul this evening as normal. WIP is getting extra TLC as he receives a slow and gentle haircut this afternoon. You can look forward to this week being added at the end of the coming week instead. In the meantime...Happy Stitching everyone, and as you know - "I can Keep You in Stitches"
