Now with two cats, we knew it was even more important to give them options for high places. Although we didn’t reach our fundraiser goal to get a new action camera, we did put the money towards this cat wall! The action camera was a nice to have, and catification was a better investment for Nova and Conan. Thank you so much to Ajey, Nancy, Charlene, Wendy and Bernadette for your generous donations! 🙏

A lot of folks have been commenting that Ezra needs a dog playmate and that we should get another dog. Choosing to bring a new fur baby into your family is not a willy nilly decision to be taken lightly. There is a lot to consider, all of which I talk about in this video I made after we got Ezra: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0AUf...

Although we’ve taken Nova outdoors - and plan to do so with Conan too - the majority of their lives will still be spent indoors, which is why it’s important that they have each other to play with and keep each other company. Ezra on the other hand is a dog - a man’s best friend. His physical stimulation and play comes from being outdoors with us - hiking trails, playing fetch, and meeting other dogs at the dog park. We don’t show this as much in our videos because it’s just part of our daily routine and feels repetitive to include.

Ezra is pretty socially awkward when it comes to making friends - he comes on very strong. He’s a beta who likes to act like an alpha, and he’s not nice to puppies - he doesn’t like their energy and licking. But he also gets nervous and anxious with an alpha dog, and can’t hold his own because he wouldn’t actually hurt anything. This exact scenario happened with my mom’s Bichon Frise - Ezra was mean to him when he was a puppy, and once he grew older and started snapping at Ezra (over Ezra’s own toys), Ezra was uncomfortable around him in his own home when we dog sat. Ezra is much more of a people dog, than a dog’s dog - if you have a dog, you will understand.

If we were to bring another dog into the family, there is a lot to consider now with all the different personalities. We would want to adopt a dog who is close to Ezra’s age, and of course they’d also have to be good with cats. But we also aren’t at a point in our lives right now where it’s realistic for us to bring another dog in. Roman and I have previously decided that if we were to get another dog, it wouldn’t be until we own a house with a yard.

We’re so glad that sharing our pets and our lives brings you happiness and entertainment, but we are not in the business of acquiring pets for YouTube videos. We bring in pets to be part of our family who fit in with our lifestyle, and we choose to share the joy they bring us with all of you. It is a lifetime investment when you bring an animal into your home, so we make that decision with a lot of thought and consideration. We always appreciate your concern and know that you also want to see Ezra, Nova, and Conan thrive - but trust that as their parents we know the intricacies of their personalities and ultimately what’s best for them and our family.

What a whirlwind of a week it's been! We knew that Nova and Conan would get along, but they've exceeded our expectations by becoming best friends in a matter of days 🥰

It's been the sweetest thing to watch Nova evolve from annoying little sister and gladly step into her new role as caring big sister to Conan. She took to him immediately and knew he was baby - letting him eat from her bowl, use her litter box, and giving him a good grooming. But of course she still throws him down like a little brother, because we all know that's the sibling rite of passage! 😆

Ezra and Conan are still figuring things out... but they are both very curious about each other. Let's see how their relationships develops next! 👀

Meet Conan, our 6 month old Abyssinian kitten 🥹

Conan settled in pretty much immediately, eager to meet his new siblings and explore. He is a TOTAL love bug and the most chill cat Roman and I have ever met. It's only been a few days, but we can already tell he's a purrfect fit for our family 🥰
