Mother’s Day always comes with a particular kind of grief for me. It’s the sadness of not having my mom anymore… But also not having any physical, living children of my own.

I just want you to know that if you had complex feelings that you were struggling with over this weekend that you are certainly not alone.

I offer a prayer for those of you who are:
-struggling with parenting or your parents
- estranged from your mom or child
- grieving the loss of a mom or of a baby
-trying to conceive
-have a child or mom who is currently struggling or in crisis
-grieving a season of your life that feels like it will never happen…

I can’t believe we are almost at the end of another year.

I’m not going to lie… this year has been filled with challenges. I found myself holding on to things for dear life. It’s like I knew I was facing a “tower” moment and I was just trying to grasp at the falling rubble instead of letting the pieces land:

I’m so grateful though for all of these intense experiences. I know it’s through those moments I get to decide - “Who am I really? Under the face of pressure, who am I?”

I pray that the year ahead is fun and joyful and filled with little treasures.
