It’s been almost two years since the last Loop SMP stream. I think about it more than I probably should.

Fans still ask about it like it was yesterday. I don’t know how to explain that I miss terribly and can’t go back at the same time. Because I miss it, I really do. Not just the server, but the feeling of being present in those moments, creating stories together in real time while we played games and laughed out loud. I’ve tried to recapture that magic in writing, but it’ll never be the same.

Some friendships from that era are still alive. Others exist only in fan art now, gone, and that’s haunting in a way that I can’t describe. Sometimes, I see artwork of myself standing with people I haven’t seen in years. It feels like I’m looking at pictures of a ghost. There’s a part of me that hopes one day we’ll finally reconnect- gather everybody into one big call and just talk for hours. It’s hard to cope with the fact that this won’t happen, no matter how badly I wish it would.

I’m chasing my dreams to become a cartoonist, working too much, probably being a terrible friend in the process. But I’m learning that you can be grateful for something and still grieve what it became.

Some of the best people I’ve ever known came from that server, and I’m grateful for every moment we shared. Things change, people drift, life gets complicated- but I’ll never forget what we built together, even if I can only visit it in memory now.

Thank you for still caring about something I can’t quite let go of either. 💚💜

Finally, the revised pitch bible for Epilogue! 💥

I’d really like Epilogue of Endings to be the SECOND project I tackle in the industry proper. I want my first show to be Galactic Defense Force, the prequel to Epilogue, which will let me experiment and learn more about showrunning.

I know that Epilogue has the more immediate appeal to fans, but don’t sleep on GDF! If you enjoy Epilogue’s characters and story, I promise you’ll absolutely love Galactic Defense Force. It’s got psychological horror, found family, gay people, and robots!

Trust me. I wrote them both. 🤖👍
