On our farm, we raise a host of animals including pigs, chickens, sheep, ducks, turkeys and eggs all using a grass and rotational pasture based system to build soil.

Kurt and I made some massive progress on the timber frame building today getting the porch rafters cut and lifted into place. We didn't quite get every single one finished before we ran out of daylight, but seeing the structure take shape makes all the heavy lifting worth it.

We were completely stuck. 🛑 The timber frame trusses were too heavy, too high, and our equipment just wasn't cutting it.
Today, we changed that. We finally figured out the right way to lift these massive timbers and get them locked into place. Seeing this frame start to look like a real building was a milestone we won't forget.
