Sheraton Park Farms

Hey Friends and Neighbors!

I need your input.

As the seasons change and we have fewer things going on outside, we are considering doing some "Q&A" videos. Those would be easier to do inside the shop when the weather is cold, days are short but we still want to get some content out.

We want them to be organized around a topic and not just a random answer session. That way folks that were interested in a specific topic, could go search the Q&A on a particular subject, i.e. pig, cows, gardening, etc.

So what "topics" would you like to see us cover? Here is my list so far. Are these ok? Anything you'd like to hear about that I'm missing?

Farm business

Cattle

Swine

Poultry (meat and eggs)

Marketing

Social Media

Gardening

Sawmilling

Cooking with Saundra

Let me know your thoughts. Once we settle on topics, I'll do a post here and start asking for questions on the upcoming topic so we can get viewers more involved in the content.

Thanks!

Chuck and Saundra

Saundra and I spent the day walking through a massive flea market today, and we noticed something that really caught us off guard. It sparked a big conversation between the two of us on the ride home about where everyday folks are spending their money—and what it really says about the current state of our economy.

We talk about what we saw when the full video drops tomorrow morning, Saturday, September 5th at 8:00 AM EST!

Set your alarms, grab a cup of coffee, and come see what we observed. We're curious to know if you're noticing the same trend in your neck of the woods. See y'all in the morning! ☕👀

So here’s a little non-farming, blast from our past. The year 1992. Jefferson, North Carolina and a brand spanking new Paramedic has been unleashed on the public.

Nowadays he spends his time chasing cows, tending gardens and saying “hey” to all his friends and neighbors.

Can you find him?????

Don't throw those peach peels in the trash!

In today's new video, Saundra is sharing a classic Appalachian homestead secret: turning peach skins and pits into delicious, sweet Peach Peel Jelly so absolutely nothing goes to waste!

While Saundra was in the kitchen testing out a brand-new no-ice countertop ice cream maker with fresh peach custard, Chuck and his brother were hard at work out in the heat putting the rear eve on our new timber frame building. (Don't worry, Chuck made it inside just in time for the ice cream taste test!)

We’re also picking fresh garden tomatoes and checking in on our late-season sweet corn crop.
