🚨 THE MENTAL HEALTH IN AVIATION ACT (H.R. 2591) HAS UNANIMOUSLY PASSED IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 🚨

6 months ago, I shared this video about losing my medical certificate to fly. Thousands of you spoke up, donated, and called your representatives and they LISTENED! The week this video came out, every single congressperson received at least one letter from one of their constituents voicing your concerns about aviation's access to mental healthcare. By the time we made it to DC in April, they knew who we were and why what we are saying matters.

A huge, HUGE congrats to everyone at ‪@PilotMentalHealth‬ for pushing this bill through, to ‪@seancasten9600‬ and ‪@RepPeteStauber‬ for a successful vote, and all of YOU who made your voices heard and called your congressperson. (Yes, they really did hear you!)

to organize my old archived files and keep them all in one secure place. Now that I can
implement an actual functional file management system, I FINALLY FOUND THE
FOOTAGE!! It’s been so nostalgic to look through all the raw footage and remember all the

5 years ago today I posted my very first YouTube video— a 2020 quarantine crazed cedar strip corset made from scraps of my canoe. I remember taking pictures wearing it in my aunt and uncle’s backyard and was so excited about them that I tweeted them without thinking, until I woke up to it having gone completely viral. I marathon edited that video in 24 hours and posted it— and somehow got monetized that day and have been on this crazy roller coaster of full time YouTuberying ever since.

I am so grateful every single day to all of you for making this whacky, improbable, and forever interesting job a reality. Thank you thank you thank you 💜

This dinner was the night before our Advocacy Day, where we had 70+ Congressional meetings to educate our congresspeople on ways to make the skies safer for everyone. The Mental Health in Aviation Act and Aviation Medication Transparency Act were introduced to the House on April 2 :)
