i’m realizing everything worthwhile in life has an element of risk.
if it’s quitting that safe 9-5 job in pursuit of a more fulfilling career, it means you could face financial instability. if it’s moving locations, it means you’re going into a new environment that’s unpredictable with a completely new set of characters in your life and abandoning the familiar. if it’s entering a meaningful relationship with someone you care for, it means you face the possibility of getting your heart absolutely shattered.
that being said, when has it ever NOT been worth it? you learn about yourself, you learn what you’re capable of, and you discover new parts of yourself that you didn’t even know existed. risk elevates life. jump and the net will appear. and if it doesn’t, you can get up, dust yourself off, and say, “i did my very best today” and move forward.
don’t wait. don’t spend the next few months or years of your life wondering “what if i did that” because you’re worth it. you’ve always been worth it. you get one life. don’t spend it wondering how amazing it could be or could’ve been. don’t play it safe. don’t hide. don’t deprive yourself or the world of what you’re meant to do.
just be awesome.
