Attended Sarvam Epoch today.

My biggest takeaway: Sarvam is no longer just building Indian language Al.

They're trying to build the entire Al stack from India; models, compute, agents, voice, documents, coding, devices and sovereign Al.

A few announcements that stood out:

1. Sarvam 105B upgraded

2. Saras V4: SOTA speech-to-text on global English

3. Sarvam Vision 2.0: native key-value extraction for documents

4. Bulbul V4: more expressive TTS

5. Largest Blackwell cluster in India

6. Voice Agents you can build in <60 min

7. Slack-native Work Agents + Document Agents

8. Sarvam Code: open-model coding harness

9. Chanakya: fully on-prem stack for defence & national security

10. Kaze: Al-powered smart glasses

11. Kivi: voice dictation

And a pretty interesting talent move:

Devendra Chaplot joins Sarvam as an advisor, previously part of xAl, Thinking Machines and Mistral Al.

They're also opening a San Francisco office.

17 announcements in one event, but what impressed me wasn't any single launch.

It was the ambition to build the whole stack.
