My fall garden is coming along okay. There’s been a lot of rain where I live and it feels like some plants are getting a bit overwatered. I’m ready for the rain to slow down so many seedlings can have a chance to thrive! How’s the weather in your area?

It’s a no brainer that Saturday means picking up coffee and harvesting a few eggplants from the garden! You do that too, right? 😅
Coffee from my neighborhood cafe? Yes please! I’ll take an iced latte asap! It’s the only way I can get out of bed on Saturdays. 💤
My eggplants have been keeping me fed this summer! I will definitely be growing these again in my garden, and maybe even more varieties! The funny thing is the pest love the eggplant leaves, but leave the actual eggplants alone. I think it works as a great trap plant. 🍆🐛
After all this harvesting, I’ll be wired from all the excitement and the caffeine. What should I spend the rest of my day doing?!

In my opinion, morning is the best time for a garden checkup. I like to check to see if any of my experiments worked, or if my hard working plants have gifted me with new blooms overnight.
It feels like all the cares of yesterday have melted away, replaced with a quiet excitement for the day ahead. It’s simple, grounding and easily my favorite time of day.❤️

My Marigolds and Datil Peppers are making more appearances this fall. They have really shown me their bright beautiful colors.
I am filled with so much happiness when I see all the bright colors that the garden has to offer. Especially with the sun setting earlier and earlier.
I used to be pretty bummed when the time would change and clocks would turn back. Not anymore. I know that my garden lights up when it turns dark. ⭐️
