Liaquat National Hospital is located in the center of the bustling city of Karachi near the National Cricket Stadium.
LNH was conceived 60 years ago as a not-for-profit organization with a vision to provide quality healthcare at an affordable cost to all socioeconomic classes.
Over the years, the hospital has evolved into the largest tertiary care facility in the country, with more than 700 beds. We also have the largest number of ICU beds and ventilators in the city. The hospital excels in all facets of medicine, surgery, diagnostics, and medical support services.

Driving Research Forward: LNH & ICCBS–UoK Sign MoU
Liaquat National Hospital and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) – UoK have signed an MoU to strengthen collaboration in healthcare, biomedical research, and scientific innovation.
This partnership will result in:
-Joint translational and clinical research
-High-quality clinical trials addressing national healthcare needs
-Knowledge sharing and capacity building
-Development of research infrastructure to international standards
-Training and engagement of healthcare professionals and researchers.
While addressing the occasion, Medical Director Prof. Dr Salman Faridi, emphasized on the importance of integrating clinical expertise with scientific research to improve patient outcomes across Pakistan.
Prof. Dr. M. Raza Shah, Director ICCBS, also highlighted that the initiative tends to promote multidisciplinary research projects, increase faculty and student engagement, and support clinical trial capabilities.
