LP Giobbi is a DJ, producer, pianist and activist who is quickly rising to superstar status, earning over 340M streams across platforms. Since emerging in the dance scene in 2018, she has performed her “one-woman jam band” DJ sets blending her decks with her live piano plus sampler at high-profile festivals including Coachella, EDC, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Tomorrowland, Electric Forest and Creamfields. She has provided thousands of female and gender-expansive individuals access to production workshops, online courses, and scholarship programs for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC creators with her nonprofit FEMME HOUSE.
LP Giobbi released her debut album, Light Places, on May 12, 2023 via Ninja Tune's Counter Records. In January 2023, she shared an official remix of The Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia’s 1972 solo debut, Garcia, remixing the album in its entirety.

'Until There's Nothing Left' with Alabama Shakes is out now!!
I first saw Brittany Howard when Alabama Shakes performed more than a decade ago at Oakland’s Fox Theater where I was working. Partnering on the Shakes’ “Don’t Wanna Fight” was a full circle dream for me; the result feels like an epiphany, Brittany’s voice rising above spirals of synth like a prayer delivered onto the dancefloor.
Considering the depth and beauty of Brittany's song, I also made a 4am edit to bring out the more emotional moments of this track. There is a time and moment for both versions and I hope you find them when you most need them.

When I was young I used to write my parents little notes and leave them under their pillow or around the house and I would sign them “love, Dotr” as I was (and still am) the world's worst speller. To this day when they write me a birthday card or letter, they start it: “Dear Dotr.”
Dotr is both a celebration for what one has and a recognition of what one has lost. During a three month span in 2023 I lost three crucial women in my life. I pay homage to them in the intro and interludes woven throughout the album in an attempt to honor and remember them. Even though parts of Dotr were made out of grief, the overall message is one of reveling in being alive at all. There are also a lot of themes tied to home (the ones we create or the ones we were born into) which, for me, are reflected through my identity as a daughter.
