Hi! I'm Jill.

I've spent more than 35 years helping parents stop worrying so much about food.

Whether your toddler suddenly refuses dinner or you're wondering if your child is eating enough (or too much)...

I'm here to help.

On this channel you'll learn how to:

✔ End mealtime power struggles

✔ Help picky eaters try new foods

✔ Know when to worry about eating, weight, growth, and health (and when not to)

✔ Build healthy eating habits that actually last

✔ Support healthy growth, from toddlers to teens

Because feeding your child shouldn't feel overwhelming.

It's that time of year again when schedules reset and kids try to adapt as quickly as possible to their new school schedules.

Food and eating are often central to adjusting to the new school year.

What do you find most challenging about this?

If you want my tips for making this adjustment easy, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJeFc...

Does your child ask for seconds every single night at dinner?

I got a question from a mom recently that stopped me in my tracks. Her son eats as much as she does and asks for more, every night. She wondered if it was a bad habit forming, and quietly worried about weight gain too.

Turns out there are 6 different reasons kids ask for more food at dinner, and only some of them are about actual hunger.

New video is up now: My Child Wants Seconds Every Night, Should I Say Yes?

Watch it and tell me, what does mealtime look like at your house?

Sneaking food is one of the behaviors parents ask me about most, and one of the most misunderstood.

It's not defiance. It's a signal, whether that's tight food rules at home, big emotions your child doesn't have words for yet, or something else that needs a closer look.

My new video is up on why kids sneak food and what actually helps (hint: more restriction backfires).

Take a watch and let me know what you think!

Carbs are not the enemy. Neither is protein. But right now, your teen athlete is probably hearing both of those things online, along with some other advice that could actually hurt their performance.

I just posted a video breaking down five pieces of nutrition advice teen athletes are picking up from social media right now, and why each one works against them instead of for them.

If your teen has mentioned cutting carbs, loading up on protein, trying keto, or "getting leaner" to perform better, this one's for you. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rrgpk...

What's the advice your teen athlete has come home repeating? I'd love to know what you're dealing with.

I have raised 4 athletes, worked with young athletes in my practice, and even wrote a book about sports nutrition for youth athletes and one of the things I have consistently seen is the WRONG fuel going in the body!

This video gives you "the basics" for understanding what to feed the young athlete (and why) - and let me tell you, IT'S DIFFERENT than what an adult athlete needs!

If you have bouts of feeling guilty that your picky eater isn't improving or eating better, but is actually getting worse and more fussy, this video will help you step back and see if you are playing a role in their picky eating.

I made this video to help you see that some of this is a natural phase, some of it is your child, and perhaps some of it is related to you...no blame, no shame. Just a hopeful path forward.

Let me know how this resonates!

When a teen athlete is under-fueling, or not eating enough calories to cover their growth and exercise, it can be hard to pinpoint. Often, teen athletes look like they're eating healthy...but when you crunch the numbers, they aren't covering their needs.

Instead of crunching calories in vs. calories out, you can look at these 4 signs - they tell you without a doubt that your teen athlete is under-fueled.
