Late to the winter camping party but join me on Sunday for the 1st camp of 2026! Camping mid January proved to be a windy & chilly experience. I’ll be in my all time favorite shelter as well and we cook over the fire 🔥

First explore of 2026. It was a re-visit but some new areas were seen. A now defunct USAF General Surveillance Long Range Radar station.

Built in 1951
Built by the USAF
In use 1951–1994

The former site of a radar station and several abandoned buildings including barracks, a library, a bar, a bowling alley and a family housing area located to the south. It is also the site of Jenny Lind Tower.

Anyway, join me Sunday (tomorrow) for a quick video of some alternate use products for Camping, Hiking & Backpacking and next Sunday I have somewhere super cool to bring you and I think you’ll like it.

It’s such a weird time after Christmas and before the New Year. It’s like what day is it. I’ve been doing a MASSIVE purge of unnecessary stuff and things. Huge donation pile of clothes to drop off, trashing junk I don’t want to hold onto and intentionally clearing the clutter out of my life. In the process I found my Blockbuster video card. Very nostalgic and one of the only things I’m going to keep, a little reminder of simpler days gone by.

——> Next video will be a camp after the New Year. Take a moment to get out there in the woods and just breathe.

Hull, Massachusetts. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been out this way. I specifically went to see the gigantic Lobster pot tree. When they first put it up, you could walk inside but the town fenced it for public safety reasons. The buoy tree is an “in memory” tree and it was special to see & read all the remembrances. I ended at Fort Revere artillery batteries and then it started to snow. What a beautiful seaside community, great memories had here growing up.

Some photos from here & there. I’ve been learning how to properly use this 4K trail cam that I purchased. I set it out at home and captured a random cat. I’ll be taking it to the forest soon.

Been a little under the weather this week so I’ve only been out on micro adventures during the day, there will be new camps & adventures NEXT Sunday 🤗
