The devil planted a seed in me as a little child, whispering that who I was wasn’t acceptable in the church. He tried to convince me that my very existence was an abomination. He tried to make my sexuality my identity, throwing false doctrine at me and calling it truth. He told me it was a sin to have knowledge, and he made me afraid to ask questions. He tried to persuade me to settle for scraps, as if that’s all I was worth.
But I knew a lie when I heard one.
Everything in my being knew I belonged to God. As a little child early 2000’s I walked down the aisle of Eastern Star’s main campus and gave my life over for baptism. From that moment, I began walking with Christ willingly and knowingly.
The devil knew the anointing over my life long before I did. He recognized the purpose attached to my name. And he sent every distraction, every delay, every form of confusion to keep me away from the pulpit, my rightful place.
But God.
God always had angels in the outfield, ancestors, intercessors, and people assigned to my path… praying, covering, protecting, and guiding me home. Some Ive met in the flesh. Some share blood. Some only share the Father. But we are one. And faithfully, we made it through.
Rebuilt. Restored. Reunited. And now on a Mission.
My prayer is that others experience the same grace, freedom, and salvation God intends. That hope is renewed. That dreams are awakened. And that every person who has ever felt rejected or confused finds clarity, confidence, and courage in God’s truth.
