The cold creeps in as light gives way to darkness. Nature retreats, and the shortest days of the cycle draw near. A time to stare into flames and watch obscure shadows dance to the rhythm of imagination.
Shortly before shipping this instrument, I recorded a brief demo as a memory of my recent work. This bowed lyre is crafted from spruce, alder, maple, and ebony.
The surface was treated with a steel wool and vinegar solution (iron acetate), which reacts with the tannins in the wood to darken it and give an antique appearance—visible within minutes, without affecting the sound.

New short KroWod ᛭Bluht᛭ is out! I've adapted an old german folk song, officially transcribed in the 16th century (by Andreas Keller, 1576), but it's probably much older. The original melody I have left almost untouched, but added guitar and percussion to breathe in a new musical contrast.

I've made this Talharpa back in 2022 and originally dubbed it +CLARET+, because of it's former bloody red colouration. Over the past three years I've reworked it numerous times, changed the measurements, its spirit, the thickness of its soundboard, refinished it and played it quite a lot..but it never felt right..
It served me well and has grown on me dearly over the past years as an ever transforming prototype. I will lay this Talharpa's original purpose to rest, reviving it, keeping it alive and singing as my main bowed lyre.
I kept the original wear and tear, only changing it's colour to black while letting the character of the spruce shine through.
Currently it has two Violin, one Viola and one Cello string mounted and is tuned to either D G D G, or D G C G.
It's voice will ring out in the upcoming video.

Finally, I was able to shoot this four-stringed Talharpa and present to you KroWod - The Tendril Waltz.
I initially had a much longer piece planned, complete with a unique storyboard that told a tale of hard"ship", but nature had other ideas. It repeatedly said "NO," quite forcefully, and sent me on an unexpected journey...
After months of trying to evade the rain and dodging thunder, I realized it was time to put this story on hold and bring another one to life.
Inspired by growth, I decided to create a more uplifting atmosphere in a peaceful vineyard near my home. Distant thunder rumbled softly behind the clouds, while tendrils swayed gracefully in the gentle breeze.
At last, this bowed lyre is ready for sale! It's prepped for shipping and just waiting to be played. If you feel drawn to this Talharpa, named +Serpent+, don't hesitate to send me a message for more details!

The short musical tale KroWod ᛭Shadow of Ember᛭ is out!
Resonating memories of a Tagelharpa in form of a shadow were projected by the glowing embers of my pulsating hearth.
I enjoyed the last summer days filled with heat and crackling flames. The eluding spirit of autumn was already showing it's presence, but not easy to find...yet.

Long story short: the scorched lyre ᛭EMBER᛭ is long gone and helping out an enthusiastic creative in California to provoke and get in tune with his inner pagan.

In the meantime I decided to change this channel's name from "VedunianArt" to "VedunianCraft" to be aligned with my other social media. Also I re-created my logo to be visually more in tune with my expressive idea and emotional motivation regarding this project.
