A Mind in Chapters

Hi fam! I’m Anagh, a master’s student in English Literature at the University of Birmingham.
Literature has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Reading, writing, and engaging with literary ideas has led me here, studying what I love at the university level.
I’m originally from India and currently living in the UK as an international student. Through my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, I’ve explored a wide range of texts, authors, and periods, all of which have deepened my understanding of the field. Expect lots of compilation videos with voiceovers, plus some calm silent vlogs :))
This channel is my space to share that journey:
📚 literary insights, discussions, and breakdowns
🎓 study-abroad tips and university application guidance
✏️ student productivity and academic life
🌍 my life abroad, day in my life, documenting the experience as it unfolds, haha.

If you’re here for literature, student life, or simply curious learning, welcome!!!!!
Carpe Diem :))

A Mind in Chapters

Hi, I’m back with the Lit in a Minute series. I’m going to try uploading daily again, like I used to. I want to apologise to myself for not being consistent, and to anyone who’s been following the series. This post comes after a gap of about twelve days :))

I don’t want to make excuses, but during this time I was working on my assignments. I had to submit two 4000-word essays one on the feminist translation of Amar Jiban by Rassundari Devi, and the other on friendship in Modernism. I really enjoyed writing both and tried to give them my best. At times my focus shifted and I think that shows in the content too, I don’t know how or what to feel about that. But, the whole experience was very insightful.

While writing about friendship and life more broadly, especially while engaging with The Waves and Percival’s death, I found myself incorporating personal reflections. I wrote about life’s uncertainty and our lack of control, which I realise came from my own experiences. December and the first half of January were a difficult time for me, but I’m glad I was able to complete both essays without taking an extension.

I learned a lot from working on these topics, and I feel this is the best way to document my journey. Hopefully, when I look back, I’ll better understand what I felt while writing my MA essays. Also, my second term has begun and I’ve been assigned my supervisor. I’m really excited to meet her, learn from her and start discussing my dissertation.

I’ll try to be more consistent with Lit in a Minute and bring back daily videos. Thank you for all the love :))

A Mind in Chapters

Hi fam :)) We’ve hit 20k cumulative views, and I’m honestly so grateful for all the love and support🫶🏻 every like, share, comment, and even if you watched for just a second.
It took us over a month to reach the first 10k, and the next 10k came in just 10 days, which really motivates me to keep creating. While my main goal has always been to document my experiences and share them with you, this extra love truly makes me feel special <3
I’ve been a bit inactive lately and haven’t been able to upload consistently because of assignment deadlines, but I’m currently working on my Manchester vlog, which will likely be split into 2–3 short parts (1.5–3 minutes each). I’ll try to upload more shorts and Lit in a Minute :)) hehe.

Thank you for sticking with me and this channel :)) I’ve got more content coming soon, and I truly appreciate every one of you <3 Carpe Diem

Hi fam :)) Thank you so much for all the love and support <3 Every time I see a like on my videos or shorts, it genuinely makes my day. I absolutely love reading your comments, and especially how many of you reach out to me personally whether through DMs or on Instagram :)) to share your feedback. I’m really grateful that we have this little space to connect and interact 🫶🏻 happy for the new friendships too.

Just a heads-up: I’ll be taking a short 2-day break from Lit in a Minute as I travel to another city for some leisure time. Lots of new videos will be coming soon! I’ll try to share some moments from the trip and work on another long-form video as well. The regular shorts will still be posted :)) but I won’t have time to write the script and do the voiceovers for Lit in a Minute during these two days.

I’ll be back with the series soon, but until then, enjoy the shorts (if you like them haha). I love you all so much, and thank you again for your amazing support :))

A Mind in Chapters

We’ve reached 10,000 cumulative views <3 and I honestly can’t express how grateful I am.

Just last month at this time, I didn’t even have a channel. I simply felt the urge to start documenting my life :)) sharing whatever little knowledge I have, the places I visit, and the moments I live. I knew making a multi-niche channel was unlikely to work, but that was never the main point. What mattered to me was showing up, living in the moment, and putting my journey out there, even if it didn’t “work.”

The views, likes, shares, and subscriptions were never the goal, but I must say they’re an incredible bonus. And every bit of credit goes to you. The fact that so many of you chose to watch, engage, and support me even when you had no reason to, means more to me than I can put into words.

Thank you for this overwhelming love and encouragement :)) I’ll keep sharing, experimenting, learning, and growing as I continue to document my journey. Your support, shares, and kind words are the biggest motivation behind everything I do here.

Truly grateful. Thank you all 🙏🏻❤️

🎉 50 Subscribers! 🎉

I honestly can’t thank you all enough for this :)) Hitting 50 subscribers might seem small but it genuinely means a lot to me. Every single one of you played a part in making this possible, and I’m truly grateful for all the support 🫶🏻✨

This channel wouldn’t exist without you, and I promise to keep showing up and posting daily. I’ll be trying to post more long-form videos along with the shorts and edits you already see here :)) I’m also planning to work on long-form content around studying abroad, still figuring out how to shape that, but it’s definitely coming.

My series “Lit in a Minute” will continue just like it is now, one video every day ⏱️📚

Thank you once again for supporting me. Please keep supporting the channel, and feel free to drop any feedback or suggestions you have. I’d genuinely love to hear from you and that will really help me to grow :))

Here’s to growing together ✨🫶🏻

Thank you all so so much!! ❤️

A Mind in Chapters

Lit in a Minute is a series of short reflections on reading, language, and literature.

Each video takes just one minute, a pause to slow down, notice words, and think a little differently.

I’m beginning this series as a way of staying with words, one minute at a time. New videos will follow daily and will cover all range of topics.

This is the beginning :)) Carpe Diem
