As someone who has an interest in true crime I absolutely fucking hate when people do true crime videos while doing their makeup/skincare routine. It is not a casual conversation to have, it is a very sensitive thing you have to approach with a lot of care and respect. I also hate when people say they "love true crime" or have a "favourite case." Now this can often just be a miscommunication, when they mean they have an interest in true crime and a particular case interests them specifically, but if you genuinely mean those things you need to take a step back. It is not tv, they are not fictional characters, they are real people who had their lives stolen away from them, or stole someone elses.

I also hate the true crime community for this reason, although I think that name should be changed. True crime community implies it's just the people who talk about it, when it's actually refering to people who treat it like a fandom. For this reason I think there needs to be a seperation between the community and the "fandom."

I also think that it's actually fine to be profiting off of these videos as long as you are respectful and not just doing it for profit. Like, in a lot of cases the profit goes directly into the videos. Research teams, editing programs, editors, equipment, access to certain resources, etc etc. There is a lot that goes into it, it's not just "person making money off of a tragedy." Although when it comes to the before mentioned types of people who are incredibly disrespectful, this is where this becomes an issue imo.

Just make videos about horror movies if you are going to treat it like fiction, please.

So I actually fucking hate star stable mobile.

The other day it was glitching out, not letting me press any buttons and making it impossible for me to play, and now it's forcing me to pay a subscription service to play. It gave me a pop up, and no matter how many times I try it won't let me close it. But it lets me click on the button to buy the subscription. Fucking gross, they've always been money hungry.

I got star stable horses and it costs star coins to transfer horses. I have 100, don't know where I got it, but it costs 750 to transfer my horse. 100 star coins is $8 and 500 is $22. I need to spend over $20 for one horse? Fuck off. That doesn't include tax and it's probably in USD, which means it's a lot more in CAD. I love star stables!!

It's really disappointing because I am revisiting a game I used to LOVE as a kid, but I forgot how frustrating it was to play free </3 how could you be worse than ANIMAL JAM

I didn't have any issues playing on PC though, so at least there's that.

I got a new phone (not really new- my mom replaced her phone after barely using it for some reason and she gave it to me.) So I got a ton more space and running like a normal device instead of taking 5 minutes to load Gmail. 💀

Animating will be so much better now.

I haven't been uploading much lately, I am struggling with my motivation + I have school, volunteering and shit. I've also been spending most of my time playing animal jam or horse life, so there's that too. It's actually gotten to a point where I need to work on my art again, I've lost a lot of practice and so I really need to get myself back into the swing of things. Anyway, I really hope I can get some animations in for you guys soon. I have some in the works but I also don't want to share them quite yet as I don't want to lose anymore motivation than I already have lol.

Lukewarm take: I don't like closed species, paid adoptable and especially paid colour pallettes.
Anyone can just make them, furthermore, someone might make a character that looks like someone else's without even knowing of it's existence. While I don't agree with blatant copying of characters, you can't really stop someone from taking ideas from other people. I especially don't like paid adoptables because you are paying someone for literally nothing, just permission to call a character yours. You can draw something similar for free. It's like nfts.
Colour pallettes are especially bad because you are just selecting colours and charging people permission to use them.. you don't own colours.
Any of this is fine if it's free of charge imo, it's just giving people fun ideas and character designs. But I think it just becomes stupid once you start charging people for it. Regardless, if someone decides to spend their own money on furry nfts, all the power to them ig.
