He sings what his heart commands. Been part of the revolutionary song group, Pratidhwani in JNU, mid-80s.

Done his BA (Pass: English, Hindi, English Literature & Economics) and Master's in Philosophy (DU), Master's (JMI) and M.Phil (JNU) in Sociology. And has a Doctorate as well.

Demolitions are no answer !

Housing is needed by all, esp the poor CityMakers (homeless residents), EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) and LIG ( Lower Income Group) sections. Demolishing homes and ask the people to take refuge is the shelters for the homeless is grotesque. We already have over 75 per cent deficit of the shelter space for the homeless / CityMakers in Delhi, as per the MPD (Master Plan for Delhi)- 2021. Top it will 25 million housing deficit in the county (in 2012-13), of which 99% is for the EWS and the LIG sections.

Our govt: DDA and other land owning agencies are responsible for the huge housing deficit in Delhi and rest of India.

This report by Mohd. Pasha of #BBC captures all the nuances, of corruption, politics of demolition, housing deficit, Zone O dynamics, etc. Why else DDA goes missing in all such interviews?‼️And other govt agencies go quiet. Why CWG (CommonWealth Games) village, Akshardham Mandir, Banseera, are allowed in Zone 0? Why housing deficit has not been attended too, even till now? Until the homes were made, these homes shouldn't have been demolished. With housing gone, all rights (education, food, livelihoods, health, sanitation, safety, security, dignity, equity, freedom, justice, ...) get nullified ‼️ Anybody listening? #NarendraModi: Why?‼️

Pasha's narrative is beautifully woven with the issue, pics and the interviews. Many of the current journalists need to emulate him. He can't be copied. He has a very unique way of laying out the details at its natural pace. So much so that these stories grow on you and leaves a lasting impact.
