Don’t get me wrong, I too like how the writers payed more attention to Foldy in TPOT 22, but for people to say she was the most developed is doing too much now. All she was given is more screentime than she’d usually get, giving her the chance to show off her character a lot more. Whilst this is good and she did have some good moments like reuniting with Stapy for example, it’s nothing I would call development.

Her character’s always been this way, she’s just never had enough screentime for her to be memorable enough to the vast majority of the community. This was luckily changed in TPOT 22 and whilst it was good to see more of Foldy, what was one notable thing she did throughout those 7 minutes of screentime other than escaping her room and reuniting with Stapy?

I don’t mean to make this post to hate on her as I think her performance this episode was good, I’m just saying the way most people have completely switched up on her is pretty insane to me when she really wasn’t all that ima be real 🤷🏾‍♂️

There were much more developed characters like Puffball, Cake, Fries so to say Foldy is more developed than them just because she got more screentime than usual is a stretch to me personally.

TPOT 22 SPOILERS:

That was the first TPOT episode that I've really enjoyed in a while man, the JnJ crew really cooked with this one 🔥

The MVPs of the episode to me were definitely the following:

• Cake
• Fries
• Puffball
• Snowball

An honourable mention can be Foldy too cause why not.

Below I'll talk about the highlights of the episode for me and what I thought of some of the characters' performances this episode.

FOLDY & STAPY:

I'm quite happy they gave Foldy a lot of screentime in this one, she's really not that bad of a character when given the chance to show her potential. Her finally reuniting with Stapy was really cool too, especially since they haven't seen each other since BFB 16 (?) iirc. She's definitely moving up in my tier list.

LIGHTNING:

Lightning's crashout was 100% justified here. I'd be pissed too if I had to take the fall just because my team wouldn't focus on the challenge, excluded me and prioritised preventing death over completing the challenges so we don't get eliminated.

CAKE:

Cake was never really a character I cared about but I have to give credit where it's due, he was pretty good this episode. It's nice to see him show off his leadership skills, Loser would be proud. 🫡

EGGY:

Eggy was a genuine asshole this episode not even gonna sugar coat it. Sure Fries is the reason they were stuck down there but to want to kill him over the fact that he didn't know exactly who he saw out the window was pretty crazy to me. Idk why Fries didn't fight back he would've easily won that, but ig he had to meet Puffball somehow. Not even just her interactions with Fries, but the fact that she used Stapy as some tool to get up that lift and then left my mans to rot is insane bruh. Everyone's right in hating this useless character, it's not just cuz APOY likes her she's just genuine cheeks bro.

SNOWBALL:

I kept telling y'all Snowball's the goat. He pretty much carried near the end of the episode and helped everyone escape. I been seeing people hate on him due to him not being so mean anymore. Not every mean character has to have that as their only character trait mind you, it's called development 🤷🏾‍♂️
But yeah he was really good this episode fr. That montage where he was learning how to use his powers with Cake and the others was pretty cool.

FRIES & PUFFBALL:

Best duo in all of BFDI not even tryna glaze. They said there was a rejoin coming soon right? Cuz my vote's definitely going to Puffball 100%.

Puffball has to be my favourite character of this episode, it's nice to see her get a lot of screentime for once. The scene where she says "Why does no one like me" was really sad ngl. Can't even blame her for thinking this way seeing like she basically said, she's done terribly every season she's been in. She really shouldn't have been eliminated over a character like TV imo.

That talk that she had with Fries was prolly one of my favourite scenes from the episode, it felt really real if that makes sense. Her talking about how poor her performance has been and how she doesn't know what to do anymore and Fries trying to give some decent advice cuz he actually cares about her was really nice to see, considering how you wouldn't think Fries would be the best guy to talk to about your feeling and to get advice from seeing as he doesn't care about most things and people. Yet he still cares enough to try and help Puffball out with her problems since they're good friends. Makes me think back to BFDIA when Tennis Ball was talking to Fries about how he feels about Golf Ball not wanting him to win BFDIA and Fries didn't care at all about what he was saying lol.

This definitely shows how much Fries has developed and grown as a person since then, also proving my points that I made on that one community post I made about how Fries acts in BFDIA compared to how he acts in TPOT. Him reigniting Puffball's determination and pushing her to go back to breaking the barrier really shows how much he cares for his friends, that's one of many reasons why he's goated.
That scene where it shows Puffball & Snowball breaking the barrier was legendary 🔥

So yeah overall the episode for me was a 9/10, very solid!
