The Basketball Aura vid is nowhere near done in all honesty. After I posted the Sneak Peak I worked on about 2-3 more scenes and then left it to focus on Artifact Asylum✌🏾

I’ll try to start working on at least one clip a day, maybe more depending how I feel 🤷🏾‍♂️

My Full Opinions on BFDIE…


Don’t mean to sound like I’m hating but in all honesty, what a waste of a hundredth episode ngl.
I’ve got a few more things I’d like to say about this season, adding onto my previous post.


Now, there’s being grateful and there’s being real. Whilst I’m appreciative that we’ll be receiving weekly content, it doesn’t excuse the fact that nobody asked for this really. First impressions do matter a lot for a show, especially as big as BFDI, and this season was pretty overhyped which seems to be the popular opinion amongst the OSC.

1. The Hype

If you’re going to do things like post a short teasing this season, make 2 community posts announcing the 100th episode, and a 32 hour stream further hyping up the 100th episode then you would obviously expect something big for the 100th episode. However, that was not the outcome. Instead the outcome was an 8 minute long first episode introducing the new season 6, something that’s been talked about within the OSC for a long while now. This season features a completely new cast (+ David) with the Announcer as host. It also brings back the old BFDI animation style from Season 1.

I’m sure the vast majority of people can come to an agreement in saying that was quite the disappointment for a 100th episode. And the thing is, people wouldn’t have really cared as much as they do now if it weren’t for how they hyped it up as a big thing when in reality, it’s not. You could call this a “Season 6” but me personally, I see it as just a spinoff and not an actual season. It could quite literally be described as a Full Screen BFDI Mini with Voice Acting.

2. Expectations

This episode had a lot riding on it considering it was the 100th episode. JnJ acknowledged this and built some hype around it being the big 100th episode of BFDI. Due to this, everyone would think something truly big is going to drop and will catch everyone by surprise. This episode would also be posted on BFDI’s 16th Anniversary so yes, most peoples expectations would be higher than normal.

When this episode did drop, it definitely did catch people by surprise, just not in a good way. Once the 32 hour livestream had ended, we was greeted with the 8-9 minute long first episode of the new Season 6. People watched this and most people were left feeling underwhelmed, like all the hype was not worth what they had gotten. Undeniably there was some overreactions, however the frustration and disappointment is definitely understandable. This doesn’t justify people sending hate towards the creators or creating petitions dedicatedto cancelling the season as that is an overreaction.

I’ve seen people say things like “Cary said keep BFDI casual.” and “Stop taking BFDI so seriously!” in response to the outrage. However, are they not taking the show seriously themselves? If you’ve seen the later episodes of BFDIA and TPOT, you can see that they’ve created some interesting lore within the show. BFDIA being a more comedic season whilst still having it’s serious moments, while TPOT going a more dreary, depressing and serious route. They’ve clearly raised the standards with the show, therefore I fail to understand when people say things like that in response to criticism towards BFDI.

3. Opinions On The Episode

This episode wasn’t that bad, but wasn’t that great either. Nothing really significant happened throughout the episode, leading people like me to wonder what the hype was going towards. You know you’ve done something wrong when David is the most liked contestant within the entire cast ✌🏾😭
Nothing really interesting about the cast, the challenge, basically the whole episode tbh. This is probably something to keep us entertained whilst they work on BFDIA & TPOT. I don’t agree with calling it Season 6 though as once again, this topic has been pretty big amongst the OSC for quite some time so this must come off as quite a disappointment to those who were excited about Season 6. I see it more as a spin off tbh.

Summary:

I am not in any way trying to hate on Jacknjellify as I’ve been a fan of their work for years and even aspire to work with them as you can see with my BFDIA Audition. However, I must be honest with myself and towards them in saying this was not the one. If you didn’t hype this up as much as ‘the big 100th episode’ I’m sure the community reactions would’ve been much more tame as in all honesty, this was not as big as you may have thought it would be. I don’t hate the series at all either as like I said in my previous post, I think the idea of this is pretty good. It’s a good idea, just not great execution.

BFDIE 1 was pretty alright ngl. I like the idea of Announcer hosting another show behind the scenes.
However, I don’t think a 30 hour livestream hyping up the 8 minute long 100th episode was worth it if the episode didn’t have much to do with the main series ima be honest. Not saying it’s bad though.

Idk about y’all but around this part of BFDIA 23, I was so hyped to see the craziest Woody VS Book, Needle & Tennis Ball 1v3 bro. The scene’s leading up to this too was hyping me up even more for it 😭

All that hype for it to be thrown completely out the window when Woody chickens out and falls off the glass platform to his doom. My face went from complete excitement to pure disappointment, paused the vid for like a good minute and then continued to watch with the straightest face I’ve ever made.

Mannn I wish they actually had a fight scene here before that would’ve gone crazy, why’d they do all that just for Woody to jump off the platform bruh ✌🏾😭
