10 MONTHS 🥹🫶🏽 Cue the happy tears 😭 Being Adriel’s mom has been pure joy, love, endless snuggles, and unforgettable memories.

From the sleepless nights to seeing him smile, it has been the best/ most exhausting season of my life & I am so blessed God chose me to be his mom. Can’t believe we’re almost reaching the one-year mark already! 😭🩵

Updates:
- He is officially on the move. I set him down one place & 5 seconds later he’s gone 💨 We can thank the dogs because they are quite literally his motivation & the reason he’s crawling.
- He is always trying to take his diaper off 🤦🏻‍♀️
- He loves being outside
- Has started calling the dogs by “ayyy!” 😆
- Is the 99th percentile in height & 96 in weight so it’s safe to say it’s a workout carrying him around.
- Yogurt & fruit are his favorite foods & his happy dance when eating is the cutest thing EVER.
- He is still teething… pray for my 🍈🍈
- He loves inspecting everything & reading his books upside down 💀
- Still contact napping 🥰
- Is playing confidently & independently, most of the time, or happy watching what we are doing. This is a huge milestone no one talks about because entertaining babies can be so hard 🤪
- Wants to stand all day while we hold him up 🤣
- Has so much personality & is always making us laugh 😆

Let’s catch up: The last few weeks have been really hard for us. Adriel has been teething for almost three months & this week his 5th + 6th tooth is coming in. Teething has been really really hard. In addition, he’s going through a growth spurt AND we are still unpacking from our move last month + trying to fit in work in between. Even on his hardest days, he still smiles & laughs. He’s so strong but it’s been challenging to say the least.

The past week, I have felt defeated, which is what the enemy wants. I’ve been more tired than usual & we haven’t gotten much done the last few weeks, which also makes me feel unproductive. I’ve had to continuously remind myself that this is not my season to get everything done. This is my time to care for & nurture my son + be a loving wife. Everything else can wait and to be honest, everything else is a distraction from him. He will only be a baby once.

Even though it’s been 8 months, I don’t remotely have it all together. It DOES get easier & you do get more time, but every time I think we have it down, he changes. I also grow & change with every month that goes by.

If you’re having a hard season, you’re not alone. Remember that behind every social media post, I’m a mom, doing real mom things. Most days my “me time” consists of a few minutes longer in the shower or cooking something new (currently trying to master sourdough).

Motherhood is challenging, but it shows you how strong you really are. The Lord strengthens & refines you to your core.

A new chapter has begun 🏡🥲🙏🏽 A little over year ago, I prayed for a healthy baby. Today, we moved into the home our baby is going to learn how to walk in 😭

Let me tell you, moving with a baby has been chaos, but we are SO excited and blessed to be here. We’ve been gradually moving for the last week and there are many stories to tell 😅

I have been praying for over 2 years for this moment. Just when I thought Jesus didn’t have anything for us, we got the chance to move into this beautiful home. Expectant for what He is doing and all the memories we will make.

We went to the mall, which was a complete fail 🫠 I wanted some new postpartum clothes, but got there & wasn’t feeling it 😅 I’ve been struggling a with my style, because I’m craving something new, but love athleisure or 90s jeans + a t-shirt 🤷🏻‍♀️ There’s also the fact that it needs to be easy to breastfeed in🥛

I did finallyyy find a pair of jeans I like (wearing) so that’s progress! I tried squeezing into my old jeans & it was a huge NO 🤣 Lmk your fave jeans brands in the comments! I realized that it was better to start fresh & be comfortable, than to feel down that my body has changed. I grew a whole human by the grace of God 💪🏽 If you’re postpartum, remember how much you went through during pregnancy & that it takes time for your body to heal. Give yourself grace! Also, Adriel would only look at the camera when I wasn’t looking, but I tried to get a cute pic 🤪

My baby is 3 months! 😭 I never knew I could love so deeply. You think you’ve done it all, until you have a child. Being a mother is truly a sacrificial love. The first 2 weeks I remember thinking “How am I going to be able to do this?!” 🫨🥱 The sleep deprivation + learning how to care for a newborn was HARD. I texted all the moms I knew for support & have leaned on the Lord more than I ever have. In the midst of exhaustion, I would see his little smile & I would instantly recharge. Each day, we get to know each other more. He’s so smart, sweet, & funny — I can’t believe he’s mine! The last few months have been the most wonderful, life changing ones. I’ve never been so tired, yet so happy. Every day, I get a little more confident as a mother.
