The election integrity measure known as the SAVE America Act is on the line – and the US Senate must use the talking filibuster in order for it to pass.

John Yep, President of Catholics for Catholics, is strongly urging citizens to call their US Senator and Senate Majority Leader John Thune to urge them to commit to this talking filibuster to make sure the SAVE America Act passes.

“A true democratic republic requires safe and secure elections,” Yep said. “We must pray for the passage of the SAVE America Act, but it is also critical to take action. Please take the time to call your senator’s office TODAY and urge them to use the talking filibuster to save this common-sense election integrity bill that is for all Americans.”

The bill is straightforward and concise, and would establish the following:

- Require individuals to provide proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote
- Require photo identification to vote in federal elections; an individual who votes by absentee ballot must submit a copy of their identification document with both the request for, and the submission of, the absentee ballot
- Each state must take affirmative steps on an ongoing basis to ensure that only U.S. citizens are registered to vote
- States must remove noncitizens from their official lists of eligible voters

BREAKING: Former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent to Address “Catholic Prayer for America” Gala on March 19th, Feast of St. Joseph in Washington DC!

Joe Kent, broke the news this morning that he was resigning from his position over the Iran War. Joe a baptized Catholic and a man of deep faith had this to say on a post that now has over 50 million views in just 7 hours.

"After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under President Donald Trump. May God bless America."

This announcement comes just two days after our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, addressing those responsible for the ongoing conflict between the U.S. and Israel and Iran launched an appeal “in the name of the Christians of the Middle East and of all women and men of goodwill: Cease the fire! Let paths of dialogue be reopened!” He later said, “One might ask: Do those Christians who bear serious responsibility in armed conflicts have the humility and courage to make a serious examination of conscience and go to confession?”

With all this in mind, our team made a prayerful quick decision to extend an invite to Mr. Kent to join us in prayer at our Gala. I am honored that he accepted our invitation. The core DNA of Catholics for Catholics is to back frontline warriors who are taking stands for God and Country. We are Catholics FOR Catholics!

The decision to resign, heeding both the words of the Vicar of Christ, and his own conscience, make Joe Kent a patriot we are proud of.
