A group of monkeys used to steal corn from a farmer's field every day. That's why the owner of the field would chase the monkeys with a stick whenever he saw them. As a result, the monkeys could not eat the corn to their heart's content.
One day, the owner, the farmer, suddenly died. When the monkeys heard that the farmer was dead, they danced with joy.
But because the farmer was gone, there was no corn the next year. The hungry monkeys soon realized that the one they thought was their enemy was actually the farmer who was producing their food.
Lesson: The person you are neglecting today without realizing his value, will one day realize his importance when he disappears from your life.
