India exports billions in beef but can’t eat it at home.

India is the world’s second-largest beef exporter, generating around $3.8 billion annually, with most of its exports made up of buffalo meat. This product is in high demand across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, placing India as a major player in the global meat market a surprising fact given the country’s largely vegetarian image.
