⛈⛈ YESTERDAY WAS A DREAM, SQUALL! ⛈⛈

The paradigm shift I needed came in a FLOOD yesterday and here's a breakdown for everyone keeping tabs on my Creator Journey:

- in the span of only (4) hours I made TWO WEEKS worth of pay on video commissions (soon to add Digital Downloads) and it's all thanks to my #1 SugarMama Moderator, Guffles, who suggested that I put commissions on my Ko-Fi page! 💌

- I had a zoom call with another creator who loves my work and wants me to edit/polish raw content for them on a weekly basis in exchange for a small monthly fee. The reason this is EXCITING is because if I even find (5) more creators (or brands) to offer the same service for, I'll be 100% back where I need to be financially! SURREAL.

- There was an influx of Patreon subscribers and that's a blessing I can't quite articulate my appreciation towards, but trust me when I tell you it always gets me teary eyed (I'm a big softie.) 🧸

I'm still searching for work in the background, but like I already mentioned above...if I can create content for brands/creators for a small fee on a monthly basis, everything literally balances out. 🙏🏿

Listen, everyone... I haven't smiled this hard or been this fueled with the grinding fire to CREATE in a long time. Even now I'm looking through my extensive Library of old content (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy) for green screen clips I can put on my shop for any other video creators out there. Do me a favor everyone:

📣 Cloudie McDoom Life Update!

I got fired from my job today, but I honestly felt it coming for a while given with how auto-pilot I was in my office. My coworkers didn't talk to me all that often anyway (which is fine since we're just there to work, not make friends).

Let me be crystal clear: My boss is one of the greatest bosses I ever had so I know the decision was tough for him...and I hold zero animosity towards the company. It was one of those decisions that's definitely going to test me as a person, since my last paycheck is next week. Everyday I'll need to make moves (while job searching again on the side). Now! Let me also make this loud & clear.

This is NO pity party for Cloudie whatsoever. I hold myself 100% accountable for losing a job that my heart wasn't really set in...and even moving on auto-pilot to get the work done isn't necessarily enough in the grand scheme.

I'm about to grind my ass to the BONE every single day now that I have time & I've done the math. All I have to do is enough collective grinding across every platform (Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Patreon, Voice Work) to make $1,000 per week, which will make it as if I never lost my primary income at all.

You need video editing services? Hit me.

You need voice acting? Hit me.

You need content creation/promo? Hit me.

For anyone who already watches my streams or is subscribed to my Patreon? I can't thank you enough for all the help you've provided already. Now I've got time to REALLY kick that platform into gear with more content you actually want, because I'm gonna need it now more than ever! One thing all content creators need to remember about this space is that you don't need to appeal to EVERY social circle out there and here's the truth bomb:

The kind of people who would've thought you were weird in high school would have the same -zero desire to socialize with you here in adulthood (unless it's business/collaboration based in my case as a creator).

That reality does not change just because we have our own platforms with high follower counts now, I promise you that means nothing.

Don't change who you are or what you're interested in just to appeal to people you wouldn't rock with on purpose anyway. Be yourself & let whoever gravitates to you come!

I've had a cluster of mutual "normie creators" unfollow me over time, and I don't even blame them.

I'm a certified dork and my content is sometimes unhinged, with cringe levels off the scales but guess what? That's always been me for as long as I can remember. I've never been considered "cool" by societal standards and that's a dumbass achievement from where I'm standing anyway...because I have no one to impress except the me from yesterday.

Besides...I have my own community of fellow gamers & weirdos now. 😎
