aka everything I couldn't stop thinking about after leaving!
if you're planning a trip to Limasawa Island, save this for your itinerary. these were my actual favorites:
🏝️ favorite places * Dakdak Beach Resort - crystal-clear water and white sand * Blue Lagoon Resort - calm turquoise water and mangroves * Ojaja and Magallanes Port - freediving spots
🏡 favorite stay * Sailor's Cabin - clean, has fast wifi, and you can request for home cooked meals
🥾 favorite activities * Freediving - first time trying not knowing how to swim (life-changing) * Talking to locals - everyone knows everyone, everyone's kind (we got free grilled nokus-nokus / small squid) * Having fun at the beach
🌅 favorite realizations * no noise, no traffic, no constant reminders to be productive * time moves differently here * getting stuck in a typhoon for 2 days was somehow the best part * sometimes the best trip is the one where you do nothing

i booked this trip before i talked myself out of it. but here's a quick guide to our canyoneering experience in case you're planning to go!
→ fee is around ₱1,000 → zipline is a separate fee, if you want to try, it’s ₱600
tips: → leave cebu city early. 5–6am if you can. the earlier the better. → bring a dry bag and a change of clothes for the ride back. → wear clothes you don't mind getting completely soaked.
➿ one for the books! had a blast even if it's hot and i'm constantly sweating. cebu is a place i'll definitely visit again! i was so scared to try new things but got really happy after. the zipline and canyoneering definitely gave me the confidence to say i listened to Sheldon "it's okay to be scared. we just have to do it anyway." i did it!
