Can we PLEASE talk about fandoms for a second? 😭

I swear being in a fandom is one of the most exhausting experiences ever. One minute you're proud to say, "Yeah, I stan this group," and the next minute you're lowkey scared to even tell people because you're already bracing yourself for, "Oh... you're one of those fans."

Like... HOW DID WE GET HERE? 💀

It's honestly sad because most fandoms start with people who just love the same music, the same group, or the same artist. That's literally the whole point. You're supposed to be finding people who share your interests, making friends, screaming over comebacks together, and celebrating your favorite artists.

Instead, it feels like every other week there's a new fan war.

Somebody breathes...
Somebody wins an award...
Somebody loses an award...
An idol looks at another idol for 0.2 seconds...

Twitter, bubble, IG, somehow explodes. 😭

At some point it stopped being about supporting your favorites and started becoming a competition over who's louder, who's more "loyal," or who's better at dragging other people.

And can we PLEASE stop acting like if one fan does something stupid, that suddenly represents an entire fandom?

There are millions of fans in some of these fandoms. You're telling me ALL of them think the same? Be serious. 😭 Every fandom has amazing people, and every fandom has people who need their Wi-Fi privileges revoked.

What really gets me is when fans switch up overnight. One day they're posting edits, writing paragraphs about how much they love an idol, and calling them their favorite... then the second something changes or rumors start flying, they act like they were never supporting them in the first place.

Like... where did all that energy go? 💀

It's okay to be disappointed sometimes. It's okay to have opinions. But some people go from "I'll support you forever" to acting like the artist personally stole their lunch money.

I just wish fandoms felt like communities again instead of battlefields.

Because at the end of the day... the idols you're fighting over would probably tell y'all to chill. 😭

Anyway... maybe that's just me.

Do y'all think fandom culture has gotten more toxic over the years, or has it always been like this and social media just makes it easier to see? I wanna hear your thoughts... just prove my point as little as possible in the comments. 💀

HAPPY STAY DAY!!!! I say to the most unhinged, loud, delusional, protective, talented, sleep, deprived, emotionally unstable fandom I know 😭❤️

Being a STAY hasn't always been easy. We've had fanwars, unnecessary drama, people trying to divide us, and moments where our own fandom forgot what we're really here for. No fandom is perfect, and that's okay. What matters is that we keep trying to be better, not just for each other, but for Stray Kids too. 😌

At the end of the day, we're a family. We won't always agree, but we should always remember the love and lessons Stray Kids have taught us since debut 🥹

Thank you, Stray Kids, for giving us a place to belong. Thank you for the music that helped us through some of our hardest days, the laughs, the comfort, and the memories we'll never forget. None of this would've been possible without you. 🥹🫰

I genuinely can't thank you delusional freaks enough. 💙

We hit 500 subscribers on July 15th, and literally half a month later we're already at 700. Y'all have been growing this channel SO FAST it's actually insane.

I started this channel because of my delusion, my love for editing, and my slightly unhealthy obsession with making boy group edits... and somehow that turned into 700 of you willingly joining me. 😭

Seeing people enjoy something I put so much time into makes me so happy.

I still have posts, shorts, and edits planned for you guys while I'm away. I'm still going to try to answer comments and stuff. And when I come back... we're gonna be even more delulu together. 😌✋

🎙️ Episode 1 of... RIRI RANTZ? RIRI VENTZ? 😭 (Still haven't decided... don't judge me. 💀)

Can we PLEASE normalize watching what we say?

I feel like people don't realize how much power words actually have. You'll say something in the heat of the moment because you're angry, frustrated, embarrassed, or you just want to "win" the argument... then five minutes later you've already moved on. You're laughing, scrolling TikTok, eating dinner, living your life. Meanwhile, the person you said it to is still thinking about those words days, months, or even years later. That's actually insane when you stop and think about it.

The crazy part is, sometimes you won't even remember saying it. You might've called someone ugly, dumb, annoying, or told them nobody likes them because you were upset. To you, it was just one sentence in one argument. To them, it became something they hear every time they look in the mirror or doubt themselves. That's why I think people seriously underestimate the impact their words can have.

And don't get me wrong...we've ALL said things we regret. I'm definitely not pretending I've never spoken out of emotion before. It happens. We're human. But I think we've gotten way too comfortable using "I was mad" as an excuse. Like... okay, you were mad for five minutes. Now somebody else has to carry what you said around for the next five years? That math ain't mathing. 😭

People also love hiding behind "I was just joking." Listen... if the only person laughing is you, maybe it wasn't a joke. 💀 I feel like some people use humor as a free trial for disrespect, and when someone gets hurt it's suddenly, "Dang, you can't take a joke?" No... maybe your joke just wasn't funny.

Before you say something, especially when you're angry, ask yourself one question: "Am I saying this because it needs to be said... or because I want this person to hurt?" Those are two completely different things. You can be honest without being cruel. You can stand up for yourself without tearing somebody else down. You can disagree without saying something you'll wish you could take back later.

At the end of the day, words don't come with an undo button. This isn't Google Docs; you can't hit Ctrl + Z after you've shattered someone's confidence. Once those words leave your mouth, you don't get to decide how long they stay with the other person.

So yeah... let's normalize thinking before we speak. Not because everyone's "too sensitive," but because you never know what someone else is already carrying, and the last thing they need is for our words to add even more weight.
