I asked Ricoh Imaging (PENTAX) about the Premium Firmware and Star focus/Astro updates for Canada and this was their response....
Needless to say, this is VERY disappointing, ESPECIALLY since Pentax North America (U.S) covers both the U.S and Canada. What's the holdup with making the firmware available for Canada? Who knows. It doesn't add up and doesn't make any sense. But, it is what it is I guess.
Now, their official response.

Thank you for contacting Ricoh Imaging.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your past, present and future support. In review of your inquiry,
the Premium Feature – Grad ND Feature Activation Key is not available for purchase for Canada residents. This feature
when launched, was limited to Japan residents but has since expanded to the USA and Europe. We hope that eventually,
the product will be made available for Canada residents but as of today, we do not have any updates on future availability
for other regions around the world.
Thank you for choosing Ricoh."

For 14 years I've been using the grey beast for all my photo/video editing and music production. I've upgraded the internals over the years, but alas, there's only so much you can do. I bit the bullet and bought a new PC. The Skytech Gaming Archangel 4. I don't PC game though. Everything didn't go as smoothly as Microsoft's instructions on transferring an existing license, then there was the fun of transferring the software licenses over and reinstalling everything. Well, it's all done now. Goodbye Zedi (HP Z400), you've been a solid workhorse of a computer. Too bad you just can't take Windows 11.
