Dec 1, 2018: One of the most difficult moments I’ve ever experienced as a solo traveler.

Today, just over 7 years later, I’m sharing this story publicly on social media.

I’d like to thank Katie Koestner for having me as a guest on the Dear Katie Podcast to share part of this story to help empower other survivors. Katie Koestner was on the cover of TIME Magazine at just 18 years old as the first person in history to speak out as the victim of “date” rape. She is now the Executive Director of Take Back the Night Foundation. I’m truly honored to have had the chance to speak with such an inspiring activist!

I wonder if the rose feels cold, and would prefer to be indoors, comforted by central heating like me.

Earlier this month on my walk around the neighborhood I noticed that a few flowers were still blooming despite the drop in temperature, which has inspired me to keep writing, creating, and to stay positive despite my dreary mood of being here in the winter.
