What are your pet peeves with Inkscape?

A member of the Inkscape UX team ("ltlnx") reached out and wanted me to ask you all.

With version 1.5 coming out hopefully this year, they'd like to know what annoyances you have with your everyday usage, whether that's inconveniences, bugs, quirks, or other things.

Inkscape Update: Version 1.3.1 was just released earlier today. Nothing major to report but a few notable mentions- objects created in the Shape Builder now have an appropriate amount of nodes, improved functionality of the Layers menu and Page Tool, and fixes to a bunch of issues that cause crashing, which is always good to see. Check the Inkscape website for the full release notes and happy 20th birthday to Inkscape!

Last year I made a tutorial about creating ebooks and multi-page documents with Inkscape. Inkscape doesn't have the ability to save multi-page documents though, so we had to save each page individually and use a third-party app to merge the PDFs together.



This is an area where Inkscape falls short to Illustrator and other apps, but thankfully there is a solution in the works.


One of Inkscape's developers (Martin Owens) reached out to me recently to show me the new multi-PDF saving feature he's been working on. Check out the videos on his channel if you want to see how it works. He even has links to developer builds that you can download and try out for yourself if you want.
