Green Day co-founder and bassist Mike Dirnt has teamed up with Epiphone to launch a signature version of the legendary Gibson Grabber G-3 bass. Known for his punchy bass lines, dynamic vocals, and electrifying performances, Dirnt has played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of one of punk rock’s most influential bands. His new signature model pays tribute to the instrument he’s relied on throughout his career, including during the recording of Green Day’s landmark 1994 album, “Dookie,” which recently marked its 30th anniversary.
Known as a 70s-era classic alongside its sister G-3 and Ripper models, these punchy Gibson basses have not only been loved by Mike, but also by other legendary bassists. Signature design inspired by a punk rock legend
Developed in collaboration with Mike Dirnt of Green Day, this bass revives the classic Grabber G-3 with modern updates, honoring the instrument that helped shape the sound of “Dookie” and countless live performances.
Premium tonewoods and classic construction
Featuring a double-cutaway maple body and a 34-inch scale, three-piece maple neck, the bass offers smooth playability and solid resonance. Depending on the finish, players can choose between an ebony or maple fretboard with abalone dot inlays.
Versatile pickup configuration for hum-free tone
Three Gibson G-3 pickups, made in Nashville, are wired in a unique “buck-and-a-half” setup, offering multiple humbucking combinations via a three-way toggle switch. Master volume and tone controls provide a wide range of tonal options with minimal noise.
Road-ready hardware and included hardshell case
Equipped with a Leo Quan Badass II bridge, open-gear tuners with clover buttons, and through-body stringing for enhanced sustain, this bass is built for the stage. Each instrument ships with a hardshell case for reliable protection on the go.

Introducing the Joe Bonamassa ’59 Les Paul Custom: bit.ly/471D1Mr
It may come as no surprise that Joe Bonamassa owns a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Known as the “Black Beauty,” late-50s models are highly coveted. But Joe doesn’t own just any “Black Beauty”—his 1959 Les Paul Custom is a rare, custom-ordered version featuring just two pickups instead of the usual three. Distinctive touches, like Grover Imperial tuners and a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, further set it apart. Now, we’re excited to bring this remarkable instrument to a wider audience with the limited edition Joe Bonamassa ’59 Les Paul Custom.
Designed to be both faithful and accessible, it features an Antique Ebony finish over a solid mahogany body, accented by aged multi-ply binding on the top and back. The mahogany neck sports a 1959 Rounded Medium C profile and is topped with a bound ebony fretboard, complete with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid block inlays.
