Stay tuned for ‘What Could Have Been: Mahershala Ali’s Blade’ this weekend! In the meantime, Suicide Squad has won the last poll picking an upcoming All Things Considered episode, but cast your vote for what you want me to cover for the following ATC ep. Also, in case you hadn’t noticed, polls are back :)
Happy Halloween, folks! You may have noticed we’ve been diving into some horror films this month. There’s plenty more to come, but let us know what you want to see this weekend.
Thanks so much to everyone who watched our recent video and shared honest feedback on our experiment to work around the copyright claims. It’s clear the audio-only podcast style with a waveform wasn’t a hit, so for now we’ll focus on making videos for studios that haven’t hit us with claims, complete with visuals, as always.
In the meantime, I'm also working hard behind the scenes to launch our new on-camera series, which I’m incredibly excited about. Can’t wait to share more soon!
I wanted to give you all a quick update. Recently, some studios have been aggressively targeting my videos with copyright claims because of my use of movie and behind the scenes clips in my edits, even though what I create is transformative content and falls under fair use. Not only do I have little recourse to contest these claims, but the revenue from these flagged videos is now going directly to these studios. Because of this, I might have to step back from covering certain films owned by these studios, who will remain nameless for now.
This has been a tough time for me and the channel, but the good news is, I’m working on launching an on-camera series soon, which will still cover the same behind-the-scenes drama and let me connect with you all in a more personal way.
In the meantime, I just want to thank every single one of you for watching, commenting, and sharing my videos. I hope you’ll stick with me through this next chapter and keep supporting the channel as we try something new together. Your support means the world and is what makes any of this possible. Thanks for having my back!
Arnold once tricked Stallone into starring in “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot” by pretending he wanted the role. And that’s just one chapter in the pettiest, most brutal rivalry Hollywood’s ever seen. Check out the full story in our latest video!
Some of our videos were recently taken down after being flagged by studios for copyright. We're making a few edits to bring them in line with content guidelines, and they'll be re-uploaded in the coming weeks. Thanks for bearing with us!
If you missed it yesterday, I just dropped a video on why Andy Serkis keeps getting snubbed for an Oscar and why the Academy refuses to recognize motion capture. You may also notice I made some changes to the title and thumbnail because sometimes a video flops at launch and forces me to go back to the drawing board. Let me know what you think and whether the Oscars should create a new category for motion capture or if Serkis got snubbed for his revolutionary performances.
