As a lover of history, I find the age of antiquity to be the most intriguing as there is so much to cover as a topic of interest. With that said, this channel will predominantly cover this time period.
I'm not claiming to be a well versed historian. I am someone who finds history very interesting and I wish to gradually share my interests with anyone who wishes to listen.

Hi everyone,
Have a quick channel update for you all.
Obscure History has now officially been accepted into the YouTube partner program meaning the channel can now be monetised.
What does this mean for you guys in terms of changes?
Advertisement will of course be present in and around my content but I’m hopeful this won’t be too intrusive. The main noticeable difference will be a lack of background music used within videos going forward as this was copyrighted material. This will be for the time being.
Part 10 of the Seleucid Empire series is well underway and will be released in the near future.

Edit: This is a re-uploaded post with a new link to a re-uploaded older video of mine now without . Had to take the previous version down as YouTube still copyrighted newer music I was trialing despite it claiming to be royalty free. Hoping this will not get demonetised this time!

Firstly a happy belated New years to you all!
Noticed a steady stream of new subscribers recently. To you, I say welcome and my thanks for taking an interest in the channel. This also extends to those who have been around for longer. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
If you have any suggestions regarding other topics that can be covered I am open to suggestions.
Currently working on the script for episode 06 on the Seleucid Empire where we will continue the journey of Antiochus the Great within the wider Hellenistic world. I anticipate this to be out in due time so keep an eye out. The drums of war are nearing once more so make sure those pike tips are sharp!
